2003 ford Explorer windows wont go up or down while the door is close

Asked by Tony Apr 09, 2017 at 06:13 PM about the 2003 Ford Explorer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my 2003 ford Explorer windows wont go up or
down if I have my door close. I have to open my
door to a certain point for the windows to work.
Does any body have any idea why?

There is a broken wire between the door and door jam that needs to be tracked down. Look in that rubber piece between the door and door jam.
