will a dodge 318 engine out of a 1980 d100 be installed in a 1966 d100. it currently has a 225 slant 6.It has the manual 4 speed on the floor. If the 318 wont fit, what engine would fit in easily?

There's no problem with it fitting, you just have to have the right motor mounts. a cursory glance on the web shows there are several motor mounts available.
