I have Toyota trucks with 22 R engine. I have the chance to buy a 1989 Toy. truck V6. New engine . How does it rate compared to the 22r? gas mileage? Any recommendations?

A lot of people will tell you to stay away from the 3.0, but my 88 has it and I love it. I got around 17mpg with it and never really had any trouble out of it. I have never had a 22r so I cant really speak for it.

the 22r is way better on fuel, where as the 3.0 don't have that much more power. so i would stay with the 22r. They are both dependable though
