loss of power on my1977 starlet

there is a loss  of power on my 1977, 1.3 automatic.

Has this got California Smog? if so the smog equipment may be letting us down....the prime suspect is the EGR valve take it off and clean it with some carb cleaner then put it back on----those butyl rubber vacuum hoses could/should be replaced with silicone rubber crackproof/leakproof hoses~ perhaps in doing so will discover a vacuum leak....the vacuum advance vacuum diaphragm not operating would explain everything~

my starlet gt 4efte is loosing power and sometimes refusing to start what could be the problem
