Car Gurus says my car's VIN number is invalid

Hi, I'm trying to create a posting for a 1980 Triumph Spitfire and the VIN number on my car registration is coming up as 'invalid' when I put it in the field on Car Guru 'sell my car' page. I'm wondering if it has fewer digits than more modern cars. How can I still list the car if the site won't let me put the number in? Thanks for any assistance!

Contact cargurus customer service at user_support@cargurus.com about this. Others have had difficulty with pre1981 VINs. Hope that helps! Jim

I suggest CL or Hemming's for your classic.
