I have a British Triumph 1500 and it drives GREAT on the open highway but heats up when I stop in traffic and usually stalls out. What's up??

Typical Triumph problem. The radiator is not allowing the engine to cool. Its 40 years old. Replace it or have it cleaned out. If its the original, I'd look into a updated replacement.
