Won't move

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2004 explorer won't budge. No slipping or problems
shifting before. Had a new key made at the
dealership about a week earlier, stopped to get gas
and it wouldn't move. Got it home and started it
and it was fine. Let it sit a couple hours and went to
move it and it won't budge. Any ideas??

If the engine starts, all you can do is check the transmission fluid. The system is closed so there is no dip stick. Google the procedure for checking the level. If level is ok, you need a tranny person to check it out.

    My 2000 ford explorer won't move in Drive or reverse. I can put it into 1st or 2nd gear and it will drive with those. Transom fluid doesn't look good, not brown but not like it should either.
