Identify broken part

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While putting in oil I found a broken part. Can you
help identify? Connects to air intake and front
corner of block.... the long tube

Looks like the PCV hose. You don't want that to leak air. Tape it up temporarily if you can't get a new one right away.

I've been having lots of trouble keeping it running. When it leaks will it act like the fuel pump isn't working right? I'm scheduled monday because mechanic said the pump has very low pressure and needs replaced. Heck, if the PCV is the real issue it sure could save me some money

Seal it up and see. It will not affect fuel pressure but it will make the engine run lean.
