Thinking of purchasing a 73 Nova, 350, paint good, interior good, etc. good idea for 16 yr old son?

Well, it might be. Depending on the power, but realize, considering I'm 17, I got a 67 F100 for my birthday and its got granny gears. but with him, its a muscle car. So he might try to show off. Threaten with the keys. All I can say.

Excellent idea for a son...be sure the tie rod ends are tight, and there is no evidence under the hood of an overheat~

I finally learned that the sloping of the foot area is so that a farmer can bucket wash away the manure...the "granny gear" is that slow so the truck can pull the plow...it is geared to plow speed...got rid of my 66 after having outfitted it with an Impala 400 engine~

Bad idea !!! No air bags, no ABS brakes, no crumple zone technology, no reinforced door panels, suspension technology is 40 years old, etc and you are going to give this to your son who is in the highest accident age group because of a lack of driving experience.
