DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO INSTALL A DISTRIBUTOR AFTER BEING TAKEN OUT?

I REPLACED A COIL PICK-UP ON MY CHEVY 1978 350, AND NOW I CANNOT GET THE ROTOR INLINE WITH THE NUMER 1 WIRE.CAN ANYONE HELP ME?PLEASE!

As you know, the dist gear is curved. So, as you install it, the rotor turns slightly. You have to point the rotor slightly off from where you want it to be and let it "walk" back as it seats in the cam gear. Or is this not the problem you are having?

i recommend looking on youtube because its hard to explain things in text than in a video
