Their 350 the most popular of the Chevrolet V8s the right engine for your 1973 ..low cost parts everywhere, every possible parts combination Dyno tuned no guessing been done 1000's of times what else can I say The 350V8 is Chevrolet. The 327 is there best engine but don't tell anyone, The 327 has a 3.250 stroke and the 350 has a 3.480 stroke. The cam is in the same location as is the deck height and they both have a 4.000 bore and a 5.700 long rod. With the longer stroke of the 350 you have increased the rod angle, so it try's to push the piston through the cylinder wall more than the shorter stroke 327. They are both great engines, (For Chevrolet) their lineage going back to 1955.
