chevy corsica starts but then dies

1993 Chevy Corsica 3.1 starts, then dies. give it gas and then all it does is sputter and back fires out the air breather. wont run . don't know what to do

Check air filter clean throttle body with throttle body cleaner spray also replace fuel filter if have not done so in a while. Add fuel injector cleaner to gas tank.

Had the same problem- changed several sensors - same problem. The solution is to change the MAP sensor and any tubing of it remotely mounted.
