The Mercedes-Benz GLC’s cabin was driver-focused, with controls angled towards the driver. Standard features included heated front seats with memory functions, while cargo space measured 620 litres, expanding to 1,680 litres with folded seats. The GLC Coupe offered less space, with 545 litres expanding to 1,490 litres.

The Honda Passport excelled in cargo capacity, offering 1,430 litres behind the rear seats and expanding to 2,854 litres with folded seats. It comfortably seated five adults, with ample cupholders and a redesigned centre console for more storage. The Passport’s interior was practical, with a focus on utility and comfort.

The GLC featured an 11.9-inch touchscreen with the MBUX infotainment system, offering voice commands, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Optional features included a Burmester sound system and augmented reality navigation.

The Passport had an 8-inch touchscreen with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While responsive, the screen felt small for the cabin size. Navigation was limited to the Black Edition trim, and the audio system was less impressive compared to competitors.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC earned a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS, with standard features like active brake assist and Pre-Safe. Optional advanced driver-assistance systems were available.

The Honda Passport included standard safety features like forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control. However, it received lower ratings from the IIHS and NHTSA, missing out on Top Safety Pick status.
