Hyundai is one automaker that doesn’t sit on its laurels. It’s been less than seven years since the world was introduced to the original Hyundai Palisade, but the Korean brand is already rolling out its second-generation version for model year 2026. The new Palisade introduces a first-ever hybrid powertrain targeting 7.0 litres per 100 kilometres combined and 900 kilometres of range, an outdoor-oriented XRT Pro trim, and a long list of standard features.
Here's everything we know so far about the 2026 Hyundai Palisade. Be sure to bookmark this page: we’ll update it as we receive more information.

2026 Hyundai Palisade styling
True to form, the new Hyundai Palisade doesn’t look exactly like anything else in the brand’s line-up, though it does carry small hints of relation to the Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia EV9. It sports chunky and pixelated LED daytime running lights and a strip of LED lighting that runs across the grille. The boxy stance is accentuated by a squared-off floating roof line and extended rear overhangs, which give the Palisade an extra 6.5 centimetres in overall length and an added 7 cm in wheelbase.
The rear end is tidy with the wiper tucked under the rear spoiler and a lighting patter that emulates the front end. Hyundai stands out in not pulling this lighting all the way across the tailgate as has been trendy in automotive design in recent years.
Available exterior colours on the 2026 Hyundai Palisade at launch in Canada include black, silver, white, charcoal, Cast Iron Brown, Galaxy Maroon, Classy Blue, Robust Emerald, and Earthy Brass Matte. The Creamy White and Ecotronic Gray exterior colours available in the U.S. won’t be offered north of the border.

2026 Hyundai Palisade interior design and practicality
The Palisade’s interior, while clearly updated and modern, is similar in layout to other Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis designs. The Ultimate Calligraphy trim we viewed featured light-coloured leather upholstery, wood-look inlays, and 64-colour ambient lighting.
A pair of 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster come standard and are mounted behind a shared pane. Hyundai has not opted to move climate control functions into the infotainment system, and a row of buttons and dials remains below the infotainment screen for that purpose. Like other recently redesigned Hyundai vehicles, the Palidase includes a four-dot logo on the steering wheel representing the letter H in morse code, and a stalk mounted on the steering column with a start-stop button and a gear selector. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a wireless charging pad are standard.
In Canada, the 2026 Palisade comes standard with heated front seats, heated outboard second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, heated side mirrors, heated washer nozzles, a rear camera washer, rear manual sunshades, and digital key functionality. Heated third row seats are also available, which along with the larger window should make this part of the vehicle more pleasant.
While some of the earliest images of the 2026 Hyundai Palisade showed a folding centre console that converts to a front-row bench seat for a total of nine positions, this configuration won’t be sold in North America. Here, we’ll see eight or seven-seat setups with the second row sold either as a bench seat or captain’s chairs.
Available equipment includes an integrated two-way dashcam that operates without a subscription, ventilated second-row seats, a rear camera mirror (which also comes with a washer), and power-adjustable third row seats that let you balance rear leg room with cargo room via buttons in the cargo area. First and second-row Relaxation Mode seats that offer deep recline are available, as is an ergo motion massaging driver’s seat.
