Great value. A Camaro that age with such low mileage is very hard to find. The price is really low for a car that looks good and seem to be in really good shape.Apr 17, 2024

For a 1995, it runs great, its very powerful, stylish, reliable, very responsible to mods (considering its a track made car) it was my first car and I'm sure it will be my last car. Z/28's are the best trims available in my opinionSep 16, 2013

I've loved this car since the moment I got in it. It handles well, has been really reliable, and has been a ton of fun. My dad bought me this out of sentimental value (he got a Camaro as his first car), and passed on the sentiment to me. I would recommend this car to anyone.May 06, 2013

The 2001 Camaro Z28 combines good looks and great performance resulting in a fast and fun driving experience. Powered by the (Corvette) LS1 5.7-liter V-8 engine, acceleration is not a problem.
The positives: The black leather interior looks great paired with the red exterior. (Leather) seats (front & back) and power windows. Fun, good-looking and affordable.
The negatives: The back seats are functional, but too compact to be comfortable for anyone other than a child or small adult.
Not a good vehicle for driving in rain, snow or ice.

Have owned 7 Camaro's so far and this is the first 4th gen car and by all means is better than any other one's I've owned. Not the fastest one but the easiest and most comfortable too drive, has plenty of guts with the LS1 and 6 speed manual. Has over 130000 miles still runs great no leaks or oil consumption. This car is an overall great first car. It has the starting power of a classic muscle car, but still lacking on the upper end only because it’s a v-6. It does make up for the lack of top end with a great acceleration rate. It handles like a charm and can stop on a dime. It does have a few squeaks but nothing really big. It is lacking a little bit in the interior but makes up for it with a very clean slick exterior style. For a sport/muscle car it does really well with gas mileage about 18-21 around town and 30-31 on long trips. With it being a domestic car the cost of parts is not extremely expensive. This car is definitely a fun car to drive. During the summer time it is really fun to have the T-Tops out and the windows rolled down. And with the acceleration it is really a fun car to drive.Feb 28, 2012

Excellent entry level sports car. Responsive handling, aggressive engine performance, and the Flowmaster exhaust makes her sing. Purchased mine from a local dealership 3 years ago, and have only kept up routine maintenance since. Fun to drive, don't think I could have picked a better car!Oct 27, 2011

Fast, quick, stops on a dime. Corners aren't so fun unless you punch it and slide the rear end out, high speed turns are a bad idea. Car isn't a BMW, so the materials are cheaper, still looks great, and is built well for what it cost. Half the car is fiberglass, and that doesn't dent. Cost is cheap, easy and cheap to fix, and work on. Fun factor for the Auto: 7 out of 10.Jan 27, 2011

Great car, absolutely love it. Runs nice,
easy to work on, interior is nice and it
rides nice but when you hit the gas pedal
hold on because you going to go. The only
cons I have is small back seat, but who
cares your driving, and cant see the front
of the hood, but still oh well. Love my car
wouldnt give it up for the world!Dec 11, 2009

This is one of 502 black SLP SS ever made.
Cheap bang for the buck!
* Performance - acceleration = great, braking = pretty dang good, handling = pisspoor
* Build Quality - Motor is great quality, interior is lacking
* Appearance - both interior and exterior look so so...
* Cost of Ownership - 20-mpg
* Fun Factor - car and power is fun, no traction is not fun

Best bang for your buck (BY FAR), great looks, great history, amazing fuel mileage for the type of car, very good engineering, amazing motor (LS-1). My car makes 657.8 HP at the crank...and i still get 21.5 MPG. Car is amazing fun to drive, easy to beat Mustang pray as well, lol. Bad things? Factory window motors LOVE to go out. Cannot drive the car in snow...unless of course your stupid. ;)Oct 20, 2009

Performance - wow, ridiculous in a straight line, handling isn't bad but could be a little better.
Build Quality - road noise is a little problem but if u get on it the exhaust drowns it out.
Appearance - black makes everything better, interior feels a little plasticky but who cares its a drivers car.
Cost of owership - 26 mpg(unless u got a lead foot) pretty sweet for a v8, insurance is insane
Fun Factor - ahahaha down shift to first and nail the gas around a 90 degree corner in a 300hp rear wheel drive beast, pretty fun.Aug 01, 2009

1998 Z-28 Camaro. Metallic blue, t-tops with ground effects. After market Loud-Mouth SLP exhaust. Gray leather interior. Stored every winter. Fun to drive, accelerates fast and handles well. Better on gas than my Yukon! Fits 2 carseats and a trunk of groceries. Jul 26, 2009

Performance wise for being a 16 year old car it can still hold it's own against most. No matter where you go it still turns heads. As Far as the fun factor goes if you let all 275 horses of the LT1 Run it is very easy to let the tires go up in smoke. Surprisingly this car can handle its own in the corners also. A few cons to it are unless you enjoy wrenching on the LT1 you can get very frustrated trying to access most engine parts, Spark plugs and the Opti Spark are a few to mention. May 29, 2009

Only reason I give the performance 4/5 is because it can always have more power. I am a car fanatic. I love being able to tune them and work on them.

I've had this car for almost 3 years, it has been highly modified. The 350 was punched out to a 355, all forged internals, eagle crank and rods, JE nitrous pistons, ported and polished LT4 heads, 3 angle valve job, 1.6 ratio comp roller rockers, pro-magnum push rods, arp studs, LS7 springs, lifters, and retainers. upgraded injectors, port matched LT4 intake manifold, ported throttle body, K&N intake, TNT Nitrous 300hp wet shot. FLP longtube headers, 3 inch Y-pipe, 3 inch borla cat-back, 2800 vigalante stall, fully build 4L60E trans, steel drive shaft, Moser 12 bolt rearend with upgraded axles, c-clip eliminator kit, and eaton truetrax posi with 3:73 gear set. baer big brake kit, eibach springs, bilstein shocks, bmr control arms, torque arm, panhard bar, 6 point roll cage, 5 point harnesses, stewart warner gauges. All and all 400hp on the motor 700+hp on the gas, hasn't been to the track yet, so no lap times yet. Its on hell of a street car seeing as it still has full leather interior, A/C, and stero system. still averages 24mpg highway. Jan 29, 2009

overall the camaro is a great car. but there is some down sides. the car is only a v6 so not quite enough power to spin tires(160hp) but it does do a one wheelie wonder. its pretty fast off the line hits 100km/h in second gear and tops out between 190-200 km/h. thats pretty good for a v6. brakes quick and strong. handles like a dream it goes where you want. the car has been good for repairs i have done nothing to the car for as long as i have had it the previous owner did an alternator. no road noise very quiet. a very sleek clean fast looking car the inside is very accommodating. the back seat has little room and the e-brake is on the other side of the center console. comfy to sit in. a great heater for winter heats that car up in no time. it only does 20-25 mpg right now from empty it takes $51 to fill gas is at 83.9 l so its not bad but not great. but for maintenance there is very little very great running car. the car is a joy to drive it gets some looks turns heads. a nice car to rip around in and be a bit different. The American power and solid build of the car Rocks. It looks sleek and with the Magna Flow it sounds like a beast. The only thing I don't like about my car is that it is a V6 and not a V8. That is a gift and curse because ya it's not as powerful but the gas mileage isn't awesome but it's a little better than an 8 cylinder.Nov 03, 2008

I got this car as an after graduation gift. I have not had any major problems out of it. The performance of the car is great. The engine has alot of power. The cost of ownership is not that bad. Repair cost are relatively low. The car is fun to drive.Sep 17, 2008

Performance is good, great breaking and handling, ok acceleration. (v-6) Appearance is awesome... obviously. Fun factor is through the roof... BUT this car is in the shop every 2-3 weeks. It gets horrible gas mileage. I call it the beautiful turd, because it's great to look at, fun to drive (when it's working) but it's a piece of dung. Only get one if you're a mechanic. Sep 11, 2008

Performance: 345HP 330TQ from the factory. After market Pacesetter Long tubes, Y-Pipe, loud mouth 1 cat back. K&N, SLP lid, bellow, and cold air. Car is pretty decent economy wise considering the power. Averaging 25mpg highway\town driving, strictly highway getting around 28 to 29. Very fun car to drive and race.Jul 15, 2008

Kind of a rare SS hardtop. The upgrades put me around 407hp. Upgrades include BBK 80mm Throttle body, SLP Mass airflow sensor, SLP cold air induction system, SLP bellow, 3" Dynatech Headers, 3" Borla exhaust system, new OEM headlights because old ones were hazy and yellow. Silverstar bulbs in the headlights, took the front grille off, white turn signal lamps, crappy purple-ish tinted windows, All black Z06 Corvette rims 17" on 17" Dunlop Direzza tires, Powerslot Cross drilled/slotted rotors, EBC "red-stuff" brake pads, Kenwood Excelon Headunit w/ Kenwood Music Keg Player. This car is an american dream for the horsepower enthusiast. Its very easy to modify and make loads of power. Their fairly easy to find and are very cost efficient for power. Gas mileage is their downfall but there is no true price on power and the smile your right foot brings you!Jun 27, 2008

The one that i bought had custom interior straight from the factory. It has Chevy red velore seats trimed with black. Also everything is exactly like the Z-28 except of coarse the horsepower, but This series three 3800 HO is crazy fast. If you have a speeding problem this would be a better buy than the V-8 models. Better to loose seventy horses than to go to jail.Dec 30, 2007
