Amazing handling and only sipped the gas. Lots of room in the car ( well in the front
) The brakes could have been better but the acceleration was great! Its
appearance was okay, nothing fancy but I liked it. Fun to drive also!Aug 13, 2013

it has been a great car to me. it current has about 145k miles on it as for repairs just a crankshaft position sensor and some exhaust repairs. what is really nice about it was the fuel mileage with 475 air on a summer day i went 100 miles on 2.46 gallons of gas with 4 extra people with me. it is the manual transmission and it will be needing a clutch soon but i am still on the factory clutchJan 08, 2013

I love how snippy this car can be sometimes, its compact and can store a good amount of things.
The Transmission takes a bit to kick into gear on time and that is a bit of an annoyance, but once its warmed up it works fairly well in and out of traffic.
Not a 4 door, which is my preference when it comes to vehicles, I like my passengers (when i have them) to be able to get in and out without a big ordeal in everyone having to get out of the car. But plenty of room in my opinion for 4 adults (definitely not 5)
Maintenance is fair, but you have to keep up with it like any other car out there.
Something no one really tells you is this has an interference engine which is a feature that baffles me.
Overall; Good as a first car.Sep 17, 2011

As reliable as an original vw beetle if
you equip properly. As a rule lower
horsepower vehicles should be equipped
with manual transmissions. Great used
car, if you do more than 80% hi way check
out a sonata. Handles the snow great with
proper snow tires, decent to average
economy for a smaller car but it makes up
for it in reliability, and the cheapness
of parts/repair work. 280 for a timing
belt and less than 500 for a new clutch
job, which may seem a lot however we do
live in a world where some dealers
charger over two grand to do a clutch
job. I have put more that 220 000 kms on
my accent only changed the belt once,
plugs, wires, bulbs and fluids very
reliable but i wish the body held up
better. Lack of standard read mud guards
have rusted out the back wheel rims as is
common on most imports. Great car for
teenagers/new drivers cause the only way
this car will do 100mph is if you push it
off a cliff.Mar 08, 2011

A quite reliable no nonsense oil burner that just does what it is meant to do...
Move and be a frugal mover. Dint expect anything else from it and was surprised
to find it to be a decent sedan. Had the TUD5 diesel engine from peugeot that was
an able unit, and never once did it break down . Aug 24, 2010

Typical Hyundai quality, very basic car, at least its a manual, paint is of decent
quality, seats get uncomfortable after a while, parts are reasonably priced,
hatch has an okay amount of space, its just an a to b carMay 01, 2010

I have had this car for almost 5 years, no trouble at all. just normal fixes.
So happy with the look, especially from the rear. It produce adequate performance when just me on board, yet very economical.

Performance is good, good acceleration, good braking, it handles good under 100 km/h, not stable after 100 km/h, its body is so weak, its clutch pedal got so hard to push, and the shifting stick makes me feel like I'm driving a 70's car. It has a good exterior look and the interior is not bad, it no cup-holder, the electric door shield not good, it has small mirrors, it doesn't need much maintenance, its spare parts are cheap and available. it has very good gas mileage. in general it's a good car and fun to drive... I would recommend this car to anyone who wanted a car with great gas mileage at a great price!! Fair acceleration for a 4 cylinder, braking and handling are average. Only problem has been replacing a small part in the front suspension, but it was covered under Hyundai's AMAZING warranty so no big deal. Jul 02, 2009

I love my car just because it has my personality, never breaks down, is always there for me, and understands me good when I hit the breaks to fast :) It has been in my life for 6 years and I'm not planning to sell it.Jun 25, 2009

Great for a small car. Very cheap to own and run. It's so small and light, it handles very well. It's a blast to drive. Not so great if you want lots of sheet metal around you, but it rides well on the highway. I would probably have more issues with the small size, but my other car is a minivan, so I can haul stuff when I need to. As for looks, I descide it as "dorky charm". You either think it's cute or you don't.May 27, 2009

Good little car that gets good gas mileage - between 27 and 35 mpg - and has decent handling. Hasn't had to have many repairs over the years and is still in good condition. I drove it for a few months back when it was brand new, handles good in the snow.Sep 16, 2008

This was the first car I ever owned. Someone hit me and it ended up being totaled. Gas mileage was good. In the first year of ownership, 2 belts broke! I had to have it towed and it was a new car...luckily it was covered under warranty. Interior styling was good for the price of the car, and exterior was nice looking. However, it ddi not take much for the car to be totaled & the air bag did not deploy. Sep 06, 2008

it's a nice city car, with good enough cockpit options for supporting you while you driving it in your city town. Medium size car with 1500 cc engine, injection, side body impact protector and engine protector (if you got front crash accident, the engine will go down to the ground so it will not goes into the cabin). One more thing, this car only need 1 liter of gasoline for 1 mile. Nice, huh??Aug 06, 2008

Its a pretty good car. I have never had any serious problems with it. It gets pretty good gas mileage and runs smoothly. It is quite small but works good for college kids or a single person. It is fun to drive, but I wish it had a tape deck for my ipod. Maybe the newer versions do?!Aug 05, 2008

Quite economical, you really get around with easiness, park almost anywhere. It's cheap but proud. Excellent
as a city car, and good even for 1,000 kms trips. Very reliable. We had a 2000 model and in 6 years the only
time we had to stop was due to a flat tyre. I love my AccentJun 18, 2008

This 2006 Hyundai Accent GLS sportscar drives smoothly. Quite safe for a family with children. Child safety locks, front, side impact, and side curtain airbags. I call this my sporty safety car. I love it and I reccommend it to anybody who wants to save money on buying a car and save money on gas. I have yet to go over twenty dollars.Apr 03, 2008

I love my little car. It handles well and is small enough to fit into any space. The air and heat work really well on it. They make them reasonably priced but they didn't seem to skimp on anything, Everything works on it as well as a higher priced car. Aug 01, 2007
