Porsche Boxster is truly a great roadster! The mid-engine design is the best handling of all. Love the flat 6 motor over a 4-cylender turbo...Feb 22, 2022

I think the 09s and up are a lot of performance for the money. Depreciation has turned $60,000 Porsches into $25-35,000 cars. Not a bad deal on a great car that doesnt have the dreaded IMS issue, and offers the 7-speed PDK transmission instead of the slush box found in the earlier Porsches.Nov 10, 2021

This car is an amazing driver's car, and super fun to drive around. It has power, speed, and terrific handling. The car also has amazing storage space for it's class with two trunks. The only downside is not having back seats, but that is expected.Aug 03, 2014

The Boxster is a great roadster for the weekend but can also be a reliable daily driver. Although the base stereo is not great, I prefer to listen to that classic Porsche engine sound. I love a manual transmission but this PDK double clutch automatic is awesome... the shifting is perfect and you can focus on the road not pushing a clutch.Jul 13, 2014

I love everything about this car. To drive this car is like an extension of yourself. Just point it in any direction and it goes there. Acceleration is great and handling and braking are even better. "One of the best cars in the world" as written by Road & Track magazine.Oct 02, 2013

The Boxster lives up to its' reputation - it handles well, is a joy to drive with the top down, and for me at least, has delivered excellent reliability and decent fuel economy. At the same time, it is reasonably quiet and comfortable. In sum, all of the benefits of a sports car without most of the drawbacks.Sep 25, 2013

2007 Boxster S comes with 3.4L flat six and cranks out 298 hp. It can do 0 - 60 in about 5 secs. Engine is powerful and flexible and it sounds glorious, yet it is not too loud which can be tiresome after a while.
Gearbox and clutch is excellent. Clutch feel is very good and light. Gearbox is smooth and clearly defined. If you miss a gear shift, it is your fault.
Steering and brakes are pure Porshe. It's just about as good as it gets.
Handling is very well balanced due to its mid-engine configuration with 50/50 weight distribution. Boxster will blow away 911 if Porsche gave it the same power. But they are not going to jeopardize highly profitable 911 line by letting its little brother outrun it.
Boxster S is one of the best sports cars in the world.Jun 20, 2013

265 horse, 3.2-liter ( flat-six: 0 to 60 in 5.4 seconds. Top track speed of 165. Handling is incredible with its suspension beefed up, 5 mm wheel spacers all the way around, standard 18-inch Carrera wheels with massive slotted discs, 15% shorter shift travel in the six-speed manual transmission. . There's nothing like a Porsche, the Boxster is a mid-engine dream, and the Special Edition Boxster is truly one-of-a-kind.Apr 18, 2012

The car can be driven every day in confort and with ease through traffic, but when in open roads reaching pass 3,000 rpm the exhaust sound changes and it accelerates with ease to 6,500 rpm in each gear. This car makes you look for twisting roads and the long way to get anywhere. This is an absolute drivers car that never fights the driver and behaves entirely predictibly. The acceleration is not neck snapping, but it is very satisfying at 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds, but more importantly when you get to a corner you can stop on a dime or more importantly you can come up to a turn an litteraly break just at the turn then you can power through the turn and exit at roughly twice the posted speed of any mountain road in California. I would have never done this with my previous Mustang with a supercharged V8. It would be absolutely scarry to accelarate through a turn. The build quality is excellent, interior and exterior trim is without rattles and they feel solid. The styling is pure Porsche, clean, simple, timeless. The top can be operated at slow speeds in 2nd gear. The cost of owning this car for 4 years has been less than the cost of owning a Honda Accord or Infiniti for the same miles and years. Two full synthetic oil changes, two brake fluid changes, one new battery and new rear tires. Tires is the most expensive cost of driving this car. If you drive it the way it begs to be driven you will spend money on tires, but you will be happy to spend the money because it will put a smile on your face each time you drive it. The fun starts the moment you wash it which you can do quickly and be on the road to your nearest mountain road diner or you local Costco (Two trunks). No matter your destination it simply will make you enjoy your drive. Oct 10, 2010

One of the best cars to enjoy driving with the roof down. PDK auto gearbox is increadibly fast. Shame about the speed limits... Sounds raw like no other car... Only drawback is the cockpit is somewhat tight if you're over 6 ft tall (over 1.82m). Also like the Bose with Nav, iPod, USB, aux, and radio with XM and Traffic. Aug 29, 2010

Simply a great feeling when driving this car...It's a true roadster. You can't beat the ride, handling and acceleration. If you have never driven one, you owe it to yourself to drive one. I also love driving with the top down...Jul 14, 2010

I moved into this car from a 16 year old Miata. I bought this as a Certified Pre-Owned with 18,000 miles. It is warranted like a new car and looks like one too. The Boxster is way more powerful and easier to live with. It is as responsive as the Miata to steering and a great deal more stable and fun to drive. Braking is dead on, solid and strong. Even though it is a base model, acceleration is quite lively especially considering the previous car. It is a great car for long trips and for winding country roads. Uses premium fuel but gets 30mpg on a trip. Some economy car!Apr 03, 2010

Performance - Great performance and handling.
Build Quality - Excellent build quality, car feels like
new even today.
Appearance - conservative interior and exterior
styling which slows the ageing process.
Cost of Ownership - Acceptable fuel economy
considering the performance. Tyres are expensive
to replace though.
Fun Factor - You cant help but drive it fast in all
situations!

This is probably one of the best roadsters on the market for its price..great handling, pickup is awesome and one of the best braking systems in its class. It is absolutely a lot of fun to drive and a lot of power to go with it. always get the S version. The styling is great too and its definitely a head turner.Jul 29, 2008
