This isnt my fastest car but the 440 makes a wonderful sound! I built this car to be a nice cruiser so it has a highway friendly rear diff-The build quality is improving with every restoration I do-the paint and bodywork are nearly flawless as are the interior and pretty much everything else on the car.
This particular Charger is the smoothest riding muscle car Ive ever had-even more so than the other Chargers Ive owned.Jan 04, 2012

Performance wise this car is heavy and large-Despite this it 0-60's in 6 flat thanks mostly to the built 340 that will get replaced with a 440 next summer
Disc brakes stop the car very well-ride is smooth and comfortable-Ive had to rebuild nearly everything on the car over the last ten years but I shouldnt have to do much mechanically unless I want to for another 10 years:0)Oct 23, 2011

Performance- With the relatively small 383 and the huge rear tires it has good
acceleration from a stop, but really comes to life from 55 mph to 100+ mph
Build Quality- Mechanically the car is built with great quality, I've never been
left stranded or had to put anything but typical wear parts into it (Brakes,
shocks, Etc)
Appearance- The 71 is one of my favorite styles, it has broad shoulders, and
beefy looks.
the mileage isn't bad if you keep your foot out of the 4 barrels, and it is a fun
car to drive, it gets looks everywhere you go, and they are finally starting to
offer replacement panels for the restoration of them. Jan 20, 2011

I like the 73 charger, It has legroom up the wazoo! I'm 6'4" and that means a lot to me. The 440 pads the package.Currently has a 12.5:1 906 heads,509 292 108' 727 with 411 gears. can't pick a paint for it though and that part is getting closer Apr 24, 2010

Installed a 440 Police Interceptor. Black on black with a color change stripe. 5 spoke mags. Very Fast. This car would run at 120 mph all day. This car was the definition of a gas guzzler. This car took a lot of abuse.Feb 13, 2010

Long front end but classic mopar. Raw and in your face power combined with sweet 70's mopar style. From a time when we didn't worry about the fuel prices.. this was before the crisis hit. I remember this car with a lot of fondness.Nov 09, 2009

Very fun to drive. Nice loud and powerful 440. With the Brogham Edition interior in the SE model, it has power windows, AM/FM, factory sunroof, center console w/ a 727 automatic transmission. Yes, filling up a 20 gallon tank gets expensive, but you get a lot of joy out of each gallon. I've had this car for over 12 years now, and I don't know if I could ever part with it. Jul 29, 2008

My '72 Charger was Petty Blue with a white halo vinyl top and white pinstriping. She had blur vinyl interior. I installed a Pioneer 8-Track, with AM/FM and Jensen Co-axil speakers. She was my pet project. Then the engine block cracked in 3 places. Had the 318 rebuilt, but she never ran the same again. Her get up & go, had got up & left.Jun 27, 2008

Didn't have a ton of power with a 318 and a/c but it was decent.Handled great with 60 series tires on the rear and 70s on the front.Air shocks got the rear up.Hedman headers ,Thrush glass packs, and a true dual exhaust made it sound awesome, especially once the packs burned out.Traded it for a 84 Shelby Charger in 84.Mar 20, 2008

I was asked to take a drive in a friends 1974 Dodge Charger. This car was incredible. He has all sorts of modifications that he's added over the year. It literally feels like a rocket ship taking off when he floors it off the line. I absolutely love how it drove and can't wait for him to ask me again ... assuming he will.Sep 22, 2007
