You can compare this car to the Hyundai Elantra’s . it’s a very reliable little car and good on gas Sep 29, 2021

While this car may not be the manliest car, it pays for it self with the great gas mileage and low maintenance cost (if you take care of it). Also under the hood is still easy to work with as it has plenty of space to move and you can actually see mechanical parts and not just electronic boards. Overall, VERY pleased with this vehicle and would probably purchase another Hyundai in the future. Feb 25, 2015

The car has been great for many long trips and daily driving! Plus, the warranty is great. It was purchased due to it's low cost and reliability and I haven't been disappointed there. I tried getting one in manual but it was impossible to find!Dec 03, 2014

Great car, nothing to dislike. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a cheap, gas efficient car with great reliability. I also would recommend this car to students who don't want to spend much money on gas, and want to get around reliably.May 17, 2014

The mpg of this car is awesome I live 30 mile from town, so mpg was important to me this car surpassed my expectations. I love how easily the back seats fold down and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of stuff I could fit back there. The iPod/mp3 hookups was one of my favorite features on this car and is now something I can't live without! I wish the backseat were a bit easier to get in and out of. All in all a fun car to driveOct 07, 2013

For Performance it has got a 1.6 VTVT engine which is amazing.
The Build Quality is quite Rigid and Stable.
The Appearance will surely catch a lot of eyes and is Too sexyy..!!
The fuel consumption is a small worry ie, Mileage In City a bit of Concern ( highways not a problm)
In Short : it's WORTH it's tag.!! ;)Jan 06, 2012

Performance- it has an excellent acceleration it goes to 100 from standstill in 10.5
secs. Handling is poor at high speeds if u have installed stock tires of 175/65 R14..
Appearance- Quiet good
cost of ownership- it gives about 16 to 17 kmpl on highway....the car requires
huge maintenance cost
Fun factor- Car is fun to drive, especially on highwaysApr 13, 2011

Honestly not my best choice but it truly gets me there...seriously have to lift my hat off to it...It is dependable, durable and has a warranty which provides free service of engine etc when it gets to 100,000 milesJun 26, 2010

I love this car for what it is: an mpg-mobile.
The 16 valve, 1.6-Liter I-4 engine produces a peak of 110hp with 106 lb ft of
torque.
That's actually a lot more torque than I had hoped for. And the little jelly-bean
will get up and move if I wind out the gears.
I try not to do that, since the ECU would have me in 5th gear by 35mph for top
mpg.
I have never payed so little for a vehicle; nor have I ever been so pleased with
the build quality of a vehicle. (Take that, Honda!)
I'd put the quality on par or above our 2002 Honda Civic - that cost 2x as
much.
The car handles nicely - it's no race car, but it is well planted and stable at all
speeds.
Road noise was one of my top concerns - since cheap cars are usually skimpy
on noise insulation, etc. I've noticed very little noise, actually; again I'm very
pleased.
It's very tame outwardly - but I wouldn't want it to look ostentatious: IT'S AN
ACCENT.
The 10.9 Gallon tank will currently get me ~400 miles a tank when I'm a good
boy, at ambient temps ranging from 30 to 60 degrees. I am interested to see
what I get when it's more like 50-90 degrees out. If I drove at a lesser speed, I
have absolutely no doubt I can squeek 45+ MPG out of it.Apr 20, 2010

Good pickup, great handling, high quality ABS. Low maintenance costs, excellent AC. with a wee bit of aesthetic work the looks of a rally sports car achievable.
Fun factor - I have put in a 2-DIN Video screen Audi HUD with external amplifier and 6 speakers. With full tint, this is a great comfortable cruiser.Oct 16, 2009

My 2007 Hyundai Accent GLS is a stunning car for
it's class. The GLS model for this year is "all-
around good." It is meant to satisfy many, but it's
not exactly a thriller. It drives with spirit and
accelerates pretty well given its light weight and
small engine. Handling is good but is limited by its
185/65 tires. The GLS suspension is tuned a bit
too soft for my preferences. This car is one of a
few with anti-lock brakes and electronic brake-
force distribution. On that note, it is also quite
safe, with above average crash-test ratings,
reinforced beams and crumple zones, and a hearty
complement of 6 airbags.
As an economy car, the Accent soars with flying
colors. It feels big inside, doesn't look cheap, and
has a lot of standard features and an excellent
172-watt, 6-speaker stock AM/FM/CD stereo. It's
excellent warranty coverage, above average
reliability, and stellar gas mileage combine to make
this car easy and low-cost to own. I have only
owned it for a month, but it seems like a
dependable machine.
The Accent's styling is attractive, but it's nothing to
talk about or turn heads. It's definately much
improved over previous models and some of its
competition--though i must admit competitors like
the Scion or Honda Fit do look cooler. On the other
hand, the hatchback accent models cater more to
looks and the "cool" factor than the GLS sedan.
Overall, I think the 2007 Accent GLS is an excellent
vehicle. It comes with pretty much everything you
need, and then some (especially in regards to safety
and warranty). I wish my car had alloy rims and an
auxiliary audio input--but still, cars like this are
hard to find. Jul 03, 2009

Performance - The new Accent executive is just perfect! Great accelaration, power brakes and excellent handling with battery power saver, adjustable steering & smooth gear shift, Smooth ride.
Build quality - Build quality is satisfactory but ddefinetly not the best in its class.
Appearance - Beige interiors, leather steering wheel, tinted glasses, wooden finish dashboard panels & Its got body colored bumbers as default.
Cost of ownership - excellent price, value for money along with a good average (cant match Honda but its good) but a hit high on maintainance. With CNG it costs Rs1.2/km.
Fun Factor - Trade fuel efficiency with speed and enjoy the drive.Jun 11, 2009

Did they say this car "struggles noisily" on the freeway?
Really? Everyone that has ridden in my new Accent has been
surprised by how eager and quiet it is at freeway speeds. It's a
four-banger economy car, and like all others, it will have more
engine noise than a high-end sedan. The tested cabin noise,
in decibels, is no higher than a Mazda 3 or Hyundai
Elantra.....check for yourself. No one complains much about
those cars.
UPDATE: As I approach the three year mark, I am still very impressed with this little car. The tire-pressure indicator comes on every several months, when the pressure is low, but I've come to expect that. I add some air, and it goes right off. There are still no rattles, and no service issues of any kind. It has been the most solid and reliable car I have ever owned. This car was a good decision, and it is holding value quite well too....according to Kelley Bluebook.
UPDATe: I am approaching the 5 year mark ( three months away) and I still love this little car. No rattles, no repairs. I have a stick-shift, and getting the car into reverse is tricky when the car is cold in the morning...can take me a few tries for some reason. When the car is warmed up, no problem. I may be getting another vehicle in 2014, but I doubt I will trade my Accent in, because I am too fond of it and its been very solid.Mar 17, 2009

Great mileage, solid build quality, adequate performance, mechanically perfect. Good-looking car. Would recommend this car to anybody wanting a solid, frugal car. The only options were A/C and topline stereo. I added a better stereo with XM and mp3 and it's just about perfect. The only drawback is that it has a 5-speed and it REALLY needs a 6-speed for the freeway. You are turning 3000 RPM at 70 mph and gas mileage at this speed begins to suffer. Best mileage is 55-60 MPH.Oct 30, 2008

This is a really great car for the price. With the highest horsepower and torque in it's class (110 HP/ 106 TQ) and a low curb weight, this car will supprise you in performance. Build quailty is good and on par with Hyundai's other veichles. Personally, I think it is the best looking hatchback in the class and the only one offered as a 3 door. MPG is great rating 27/33 for a manual transmission and 26/35 for an automatic. With the SE's sport tuned suspension, the car is pretty fun in the twisties.Sep 28, 2008
