engine : short for acceleration, but its just for a minute to go at 120 km/h
suspension : a little harder with stabilizer
exterior : this what i love, a coupe 2 door car, very rare in here.
parts : because its old and rare, than its hard to find.Jan 18, 2013

I love this car! But I break the engine constantly. The car is old but in good condition. Still feels heaven to drive. The current engine 1.6 Twincam is low on fuel so I'm happy. Fun.. I have had lots of fun with this car. I will get 2 more bodies for projects.Apr 10, 2012

Preformance- it is not a Skyline, but it isnt a 1400. i think the car will get down to 9.5-10 sec to 100km/h if it has weber twin sidrafts with a 30mm branches and a 57mm freeflow exhaust. it sits on the road rather well if you take it's age in perspective.
Build Quality-Rather good i think. the engine is still running great and everything is still working. the only drawback is that the rubbers are starting to perish and giving problems.
Appearince- whel if you are into box shape cars then this is the car is for you. personaly this is one of the best looking cars. its not what you call pretty but it has a tipe of coolnis about it. the interior is good but can do with some work but it is much better than one of these cheap cars of to day.
Cost of ownership- i do not know how much it cost but it is not expensive to owne. lite on feul (not like i drive it) and realy not expensive to do maintanance
Fun factor- Depends if you look at it from a driving side yes you feel like you are connected to the road. it is not fun when your moyher drives the car. but when you trick it out like neons souns then its a diffrent story.Nov 23, 2010

Super fun little car to fulfill all of your daily driving needs. This car will always get you to where you need to go. About 25 mpg. Carbureted 1.6 liter 4 cylinder. Makes about 60 or so horsepower. I love this car.Nov 08, 2010

I had the B12 Edition fastback. The 87 was a sporty car, with a removable sunroof, and great speaker placement for the radio. It sat low, and handled the mountainous roads of Virginia expertly. Working on the car is a big hassle, though, as there are WAY too many vaccuum hoses.Oct 11, 2010

After giving my truck away to try and help a friend, I bought this from my brother-in-law for about $500. It burned a quart of oil a week and had some front end damage. However, this thing was a beast. I drove it for over 4 years. As long as you put a quart of oil a week in her, she just kept going. This car probably had more memories than any other car I had. Probably because I drove it at the end of my high school career and all through my college career. At that point in my life I just needed something cheap to get me to school and work. I think everyone road in the Nissan at one point or another. She finally died when I went through a huge puddle and shorted out the ECU computer that mounted under the passanger side seat. Yes, there were holes in the floor boardes, but the carpet covered them. Overall, I will never forget Nelly the Nissan for she did me good at a critical time of my life. RIP Nelly. LOLAug 27, 2010

This little econo-box would go off-road on Jeep trails, in snow and never get stuck. I never did figure out why it never got stuck.
Mine had bad exhaust so I could hear the engine. It ran like a swiss watch, never missed a beat. Handled good, didn't have that right-left pull that front wheel drive cars get when the tires spin. I think it got around 30-35 mpg, topped out around 105 mph. It was the first car I ever sold that still ran, although I bent one of the lower control arms using it to winch the car off the edge of a cliff, (long story) since there wasn't anything else to hook to.Mar 13, 2010

Nice small car uses little fuel. with a little fixing up could be a really sweet ride. good speakers for being stock, and for being 22 years old. the car is really light so if you put a 350 in it she will go zoom zoom.Sep 20, 2009

A great car purchased from the original owner. Needed reliable economical transport and fell in love with this sentra. 2 door, 5 spd, Blue with grey interior. 1.6L 4 banger that could avg. 40 mpg on the interstate at 72 mph. Loved it! Great in the snow. Easy and fun to drive. Repairs were few and far between but inexpensive and easy to complete. Aug 30, 2009

I bought my 87 nissan xe salvaged in 91. Loved this car it had a great ride to it and was very dependible. I put around 50 or 60 grand on it and had no problems other than brakes. Went through the pads all the time. Right around the time I sold it the # 2 cyclinder was melting the plug end off. I have no mechanical experiance but it went for another few thousand after sold to a freind for 500 bucks. I really miss that car it was a good car.Nov 24, 2008

It's a family car since the begining. My grandpa bought it brand new, and its been goin ever since. I've restored the exterior almost completely. The interioris still pretty well in shape. The engine i'm always playin with. tryin to get it a lil better runnin. Gad milage is great. on average i get 36 mpg. It's a stick, & it handles great on sharp turns and on dirt. Jul 27, 2008

My grandma gave me this car.
the only 3 things i dont like about it is the rusty rims, the 70hp and no radio in car when i got it.
I want to get more power out if it in the next few years. The engine swap i want is a GTI-R.Jul 24, 2008

Didn't hold up to damage too well. Not the prettiest looking car. Engine runs very nicely though. Interior was roomy so i had no complaints there. which is goodJul 11, 2008

I loved this car. Bought it for about $700. Unfortunately, I only had it for a little over a month before the head gasket blew. It was great for getting around. Good on gas. It was small and cute, and just fun to drive. Jul 09, 2008

Thought the car only has a 1600cc engine in it, it's a very light body. The sport coupe model came with dual sway bars and a fastback hatch style. Jun 29, 2008

Nissan built a part time XE 4WD Sentra wagon in 1987 with a 67hp carbureted 1.6L. In 1988, they slapped on throttle body fuel injection and bumped output to a blistering 69hp. In 1989 a new full time AWD system was added to the XE 4WD Sentra wagon and paired it to a frisky 90hp 12v 1.6L I-4 in 1989. Quiet, comfortable and capable - most don't even know this car exists.Mar 22, 2008

This car was old but it worked. Never had any major problems and only had 225k only problem was the body was rusting so we gave it to a junk yard. Other then that its excellent, newer ones are way better!Dec 23, 2007
