Ive been looking at these cars for some time, and did the research to know what to stay away from re: timing chain issues. Found the gem I bought one day after it was listed. 2013, 45K miles, well maintained with records, and garaged winters. It also has the bonus of having the APR Stage 2 performance upgrade, both ECU and TCU. The Stage 2 package is no longer available, so finding this one with low miles and ultra clean was a huge plus. Car drives great, but suffers from the ubiquitous front wheel drive understeer when pushed. Yes I know it is a quattro, but what most dont know is that except in the event of traction loss, the drive is primarily 90% front wheels. I will be addressing this with a sway bar upgrade kit, but need to do a bit more research to find the best fit. The trunk is a bit small at around 8 cubic feet, but on the plus side space is the same with our without the top down. Top is a very high quality unit with great sealing and fit. Otherwise the car is beautiful, and sports the characteristically upscale interior materials and design, an Audi hallmark. The car delivers a very comfortable ride, and I believe this is going to be a great cruiser. Jun 28, 2023

Audi did an amazing job building this car. It handles like its on rails, while not being too stiff. Great power to weight ratio. Very roomy interior, for being a roadster. Oct 02, 2020

Bought this car as a gas-friendly, fun commuter car. I have small kids, so they fit in the rear seat easily and have no problem popping in and out past the front seats - as they get older this will change. Overall it's been awesome, and has worked surprisingly well as a family car - my wife actually enjoys the days she has it rather than dreading it as you would expect.Dec 09, 2013

Not much to dislike. Highly recommend. The newer Audi's are terrific. Small details like the led interior lighting really make the car. AWD is a bonus, with a set of snows it would make a fun snow machine. If you like power get the 3.2.Apr 07, 2013

Good fun car to ride and show off. Very good quality interior with lots of
aluminium. Handling is prety good with S-line package as well. you will get some
attention in this car, but it is not as fast as it could be, so get it chipped for full fun.Sep 18, 2012

it is a nice car for people who are not married and don't have kids because it is a
two seater so if you have a girlfriend that wants kids and you are in the states
you should get a SUV. overall this is a good car even if it is expensive to run in countries like England/Wales. Sep 17, 2011

Amazing performance and handling, it makes you feel one with the road. It doesn't make a lot of noise so it's like you pass someone as if you were a shadow. However, it's still an Audi: it's streamlined, technic, and well like all audis: it lacks a soul. Jan 08, 2010

The motor is torquey all over but due to the car's weight, it can be outran by its competitors. The handling, however, is superb. Even if the AWD system isn't RWD biased, it still grips hard. The interior quality is amazing and the car's lines are striking. An amazing car to drive and nothing beats that VR6 sound.Oct 04, 2009

performance:3.2litre,250 wild horses on tap, what do expect...pure thrills, pure performance pure facination the audi tt.
build quality:built at a german factory, where even a millimetre deviation is not accepted.....built like a tank but the detiailed like katrina kaif...curvacious yet pretty.

cost of ownership:treat her like ur girlfriend, indulge her and ull have the time of ur life, bite her nd she bites back hard
fun factor:the thrills accelerate at the same rate of the audi tt s acceleration.

This car is hands down the best thing I have ever driven, even other european makes. The quality and comfort are unprecidented. I still get comments about the car. I will find it difficulty to ever buy another make of car.Jul 07, 2009

The TT 2.0T is fun to drive and looks great. The DSG gives the best of both worlds giving smooth shifts in auto mode or quick shifts in manual mode with a great little exhaust rasp at each hard shift. Acceleration is quick once you get going and the 2.0T provides good power and torque while returning respectable mpg. The car is well put together with materials that offer high quality to the touch and look fantastic. This car is fun to drive.Jul 05, 2009

Good handling, great comfort, terrific gas mileage (in
automatic). The interior is second to none> I've got
the "optic baseball stitch" leather upholstery that is
amazing in look and comfort. I love driving to work
everyday. The ipod dock is not what you wish for and
not worth the cost.Nov 10, 2008

sporty car, with a 3.2l engine, a sleeker frame and a less girly look than its 2 liter engine counterpart, this car is kick ass! and acceleration is amazing and its brakes are also responsive. the car itself is also very fun to drive as well, its turning radius is very small.Oct 16, 2008

This car is quick but isn't going to kill you, fast enough
to beat most cars off the line without depleting the
gulf's oil supply. Drives on rails and very fun to drive.
Looks stunning although your girlfriend will probably
look better in it than you do. Done 10,000 miles now
without a hick-up, is comfortable on country roads
and motorway. Best car under £30k!Sep 29, 2008

This is one of the most fun car in the world. The build in quality is excellent and the performance is fairly very good.It is voted the best coupe car last year and this year too.The appearance has improve drasticly than the previous TT and the cost of owning it is average.Fun Factor?Well it scores high for it as it is a good car to run in the cities. But the one I recomment is the 2.0L Turbo one which is much more better than the 3.2 LJul 31, 2008

I know own the new TT for nearly a year and I really love it. It does everything you want from a car like this and a little more. The attention to detail from the designers is worth a note. The car looks gorgeous and doesn't get boring. It is not as vulgar as a SLK or BMW Z4, but the car still draws some attention when crawling through town. Nearly everyone I met really likes the TT.
Also it is very practical to use, because you get a really big boot, which is easy to access.
The interior looks amazing and everything fells good and built solid as well.
Some technical details like the S-Tronic (double clutch sytem) amazes you every day. It's brilliant!Apr 24, 2008

this car is great so much better than the old version. the interior styling is just fantastic as is the exterior. the only thing letting the 2.0 down is no 4wd which makes the 3.2 feel so much more planted on the roadFeb 05, 2008

Just test drove the 3.2 and 2.0 '08 TT's and was suitably impressed.
Smooth and powerful, especially in Sport Mode. The exhaust is only heard with the top down (So, you have to get a roadster to enjoy it, the hardtop keeps it quiet). As I approach my later years, I have come to enjoy a smooth but powerful ride. Some folks like the jolt of acceleration, and a stiff suspension, but I prefer something more refined.
My Grail Car would be a DB9(Yes, I did drive it), but the '08 TT comes pretty close, and saves about $100K.
Only one thing I found a bit unsettling...
On the car I test drove, there seemed to be a lag when the accelerator was pressed and the car responded. It was noticable to me and was not present on the 2.0 I also test drove. Perhaps it was just this vehicle (I hope so!)I will try to arrange another Test Drive in the near future and will report back.
2nd problem seemed to be in the retractable roof on the Roadster. In the showroom when I retracted the roof, one of the small side covers would not fold down. When I test drove another car the same thing happened, this time both flaps would not fold down and it engaged a warning light on the dash (the salesperson then proceeded to 'force' the side panels down in order to get the warning light to go out, to no avail).
