We loved this car, but it was "Disposable". Things
broke. We sold it when it was 12 years old because
it didn't make sense to keep putting money into a
car that our family didn't really fit in. it
didn't have a powerful engine, and it didn't run

Reliable basic transportation. It's a total 'stripper' with pretty much no factory options...no power windows/mirrors/door locks, no air conditioning, no expensive bits that need constant attention, it doesn't even have a tachometer. And it's ridiculously fun to drive, lightweight and nimble (in it's way), only 12 or 13 feet long so any hole in traffic is big enough, and it has a 5-speed stick shift. Hard plastics and cheap feeling materials abound in the interior but it is the rock-bottom model in Hyundai's lineup from 1998. It's cheap as hell to run, parts are cheap, working on it is easy, and it gets 37mpg in the city even when I drive it like it's stolen! Insurance is also pretty easy on the wallet. For what it is, it's a great little car. And as a driver of a highly customized M3, I love that people don't get all bent out of shape when I'm zipping through traffic in this car. I seem to get a pass no matter what I do where I would get honked at and shown everyone's favorite finger for doing the exact same things in my BMW.Nov 10, 2010

40 mpg it may be falling apart but 25 bucks fills it. Its a 5 speend and has decent low end torqe but but is has to hit 2500 rpm befor it gose. It may be small but i have squssed 6 people it at once. Aug 15, 2010

awsome, good on gas!! Great for parkin...paralle that is..!! Great on even some rough roads which really impressed me, car has never let me down yet, only minor problems like flat tire ect, trunk has lots of space, doesn't look like it, but sure does!! Excellent student carFeb 05, 2010

Ma deuxième voiture! En 1997, j'ai décidé d'acheter une voiture neuve avec ma première job et mon premier appartement. Je l'avais choisi vert impératrice avec lecteur cassette et mag 14''! Ouf! Have a good acceleration, nice handling, and very good at braking. The cost of have one, is very cheap, the maintenance is very reliable.

- As much as you can get from a 1.5L Korean car.
- It is not safest car but you should not be doing much running with it.
- I own the 5 door hatch, sporty look, not as ugly as the sedan.

Car runs great, never needs anything dramatic replaced, much easier then the american cars I have had over the years. Just change the oil and it keeps rolling. The seats are not the most comfortable but realistically you are not going to get a luxury car for this cheap that will last for years. Apr 13, 2009

This car is good because
Appearance – Design is eXcellent, Looks Good both inyerior and exterior
Cost of Ownership – Pric is at a good level, and ecoony is eXcellent especially with the price of fuel.
Fun Factor – It is a good car to drive, can find more car parks easier now

The best thing in this car is the cost of ownership as the cost of maintenance is very low and it gives you around 250km per 20 lit gas ( in the city )and around 300km ( on the high way ). Its takes C in every thing and A in the cost of ownership.Dec 23, 2008

i love my car for one good reason it keeps going and going it cheap to run,and it just never breaks,it was cheap to buy,and ive only just replaced the clutch after 220000 kilometres,i feel that this car will be able to do about half a million kilometersSep 09, 2008

Need to accelerate faster, Breakin is good due to brand new breaks that where done last month, handles not to bad but could be better 4 going around bends, car is good to drive brilliant on fuel just driven 220 miles and only cost me £25 in money! but free 2 a good Home lol jk would miss her.Sep 01, 2008

Bought as first car and do not regret it.
Ok, Teal Green and 5 door Hatch is very dull combination, but under the bonnet is a 4 cyl 1.3 engine kicking 83 horses, that are always awake. Bought it with 118000 km's and now has 176900 kms on its ODO.
Performance: Surprisingly quick for a 13 yo 1.3 l car
Build Quality: Cheap hard plastic interior, but no rattles or squeaks to notice. Car is reliable, starts at turn of the key.

Not a bad little runner, getting on a bit now but not bad performance from 1.5 litre engine. Bit noisy and trim very plasticky but what do you expect from the South Koreans! Hoping to change it soon for something a little bit more up to date but will get my Aston if I win the lottery!Jul 18, 2008

I owned the 1.3si coupe model which was very quick for it's engine size, it had a 12v 1.3 litre fuel injected engine, spin happy and didn't hold the road so well,also lack of refinments like power steering and central locking made the car feel a bit basic,engine was quite reliable but build quality was an issue with the wafer thin seats and doors and allround cheap plastics sourrounding you in the cockpit and the lack of power steering left you feeling anoyed after every drive.Mar 23, 2008

It wasn't a bad car. It had around 86bhp, not bad for a 1.3i engine. It doesn't look too bad from the front, the bumper is quite mean, the the lights an angled and such.
It got me from A to B whilst not costing the Earth to ensure. But slow with 4 passengers in, and the suspension started to go just before I got rid of it.Jan 21, 2008
