I really liked the car. It's fun to drive and has a lot of power. Great luxury interior by the way. The EX-L is one of the top models. I would not recommend getting the 4 cylinder or anything less because this car really does have it all. A great daily driver. Will definitely keep you on your toes. For the money and the cost to keep this car maintained, I can't complain. Parts for this car are abundant and plentiful. Aug 07, 2014

First off, I must say when I bought this car I was banking on Honda's reliability. The car's fit and finish is still spot on, but the ride is compromised. To date I have gone through 4 motor mounts, transmission mount, lower control arm bushings, two struts, and the car still makes cracking noises over bumps. To date it has gone through 2 transmissions, luckily covered under warranty.
I'd strongly advise to steer clear of the automatic, and opt for the manual transmission, as I've read it's bulletproof. The navigation is really slow, but the seats are probably the best I've ever sat in (including lexus's bimmers, etc..). Overall I'd rate the car as being average. It isn't the most reliable, but it is comfortable and relatively affordable.Dec 28, 2013

I love this car! It was the first car I bought with my own money once I completed college. It has been incredibly reliable. If the body style of the newer Accords was to my liking, I'd buy another one of these babies in a heart beat.Mar 02, 2013

This car was so comfortable, its really a shame that I have to get rid of it! I had no trouble with blind spots, the driver's seat is automatic, so it was very easy adjust to my height. There was never any problems where it had to be brought to the shop, and I had a mechanic in the family that routinely took care of brakes, oil, wipers, fluids, etc. I'm a petite girl & my husbad is much larger than I am & we both were comfortable with the handling & loved driving this car.Dec 28, 2011

Overall good car, runs great no problems and gets good gas mileage, wish
i had the v6 version though. I hear some of them have transmission issues
but mine has never had a problem so only good things to report about it.Nov 16, 2011

The Accord coupe is a good blend of style and functionality. The 3.0 v6 provides quick acceleration while delivering 20mpg city and around 30 hwy. Provided one performs proper maintenance they will be rewarded with Honda's typical reliability. The back seats are surprisingly spacious for a coupe. The EX is quite well equipped with a 6 disc changer, cassette, leather seats, traction control, rear defrost and a sunroof.Oct 28, 2011

No repairs needed as of yet. Only 56,300 miles on this car and all I have done is regular oil changes and replaced the battery. This is a fun car to drive. Handles well and is very responsive. Great fuel economy!Jun 17, 2011

Good power coming from the 3.0 V-6 DOHC engine...puts out 240hp and 216tq stock. Accelerates nicely and handles well. The ride is nice with leather interior and heated driver/passenger seat. Gets good gas mileage with the power it puts out. Looks great with a smooth body and nothing that sticks out. Nov 04, 2010

Purchased with 27 thousand miles on it. I get around 25 mpg combined city/hwy. The factory stereo had a 6-disc cd changer and sounds great. It has a 5 speed automatic transmission which helps with engine noise and gas mileage. This car will flat out fly.Jun 18, 2010

The Accord is a very nice-looking and comfortable car, with good build quality and plenty of features. The ride is quiet and smooth, and the engine sounds great when driven hard. It's got pretty decent power from the V6, and gas mileage for combined driving has been excellent so far at 26-27mpg.
All that said though, I'm not thrilled about the car overall. It doesn't handle nearly as well as I had hoped it would, being a somewhat sporty-looking coupe, and I'm not crazy about how the transmission operates compared to cars I've driven in the past. The main reason I bought it in the first place was because I got an amazing deal, but I'll be trading it in as soon as it's paid off.Nov 30, 2009

The best car I ever owned. I loved the performance,
the overall interior and exterior of the vehicle.
Excellent build quality, comfortable seats, great
dashboard. The car was a gas guzzler. Just 275 miles
to a tank and I had to use 89 grade gas. 87 made the
engine knock.Aug 09, 2009

My first ever Honda and it is a love affair. Performance is a winner. It is great for the Interstate or for the city. Acceleration is great. Curves are easily negotiated. Seating is comfortable. It starts right up with a turn of the key after sitting outside in sub-freezing temperatures. Jan 05, 2009

Excellent compromise between fuel economy and performance (EX V6 6-Speed Manual). Great looking interior with a very high level of fit and finish that belies its price point. It makes me feel like I am driving a much more expensive car. It's very reliable and it's nice to know I can always trust it. The ride is a bit crunchier than I prefer and the road noise is a bit high for its class. The seats however, are great and it has one of the best factory non-fancy name audio systems out there, particularly for the money. It handles fairly well for a front-wheel drive car. That being said, I have outgrown its handling capabilities and will be looking for a rear-wheel drive car next time. No matter how much front-wheel drive advances, I just don't think it can deliver the balanced dynamics of rear-wheel drive. It's too bad because I otherwise love this car's blend of performance, economy, reliability, comfort, quality, luxury and features. For its price it is a phenomenal value that will make you think you own a much more expensive car. The interior would be suitable for a $40,000 car. I just wish it were rear-wheel drive.Oct 28, 2008

Great performance model comes with performance tuned suspension steering and breaking. Never had any problems with quality and exterior is sleek and nice looking. 3L VTEC engine gets excellant gas milage on highway and in town but still gets up and goes. I would reccomend this car for any honda enthuisists.Jul 29, 2008

It's got the look of a sports car, it gets great mileage, it's be incredibly reliable and the worst thing I've had to deal with mechanically is a few electrical problems (mainly due to wiring issues after hitting a deer). This was my first choice after realizing that I couldn't afford an RX-8 and I'm glad I went with it. It's been almost 5 years now and I love the car just as much.Feb 27, 2008

Sleek, dynamic, and fun to drive describes this Accord Coupe. Mine is a 2003 EX Coupe with the 2.4L i-vtec I-4 engine producing 160 horsepower and 160 lb. ft. of torque paired with a 5-Speed Manual transmission. The engine provides decent power with a little added boost at higher rpms when the i-vtec readjusts the camshaft timing for high performance to extract more power out of the engine. The 5-Speed Manual is very smooth and the clutch action is easy to read. The exterior design while not a show stopper it still certainly looks great for a coupe in the Accord’s price range. The added spoiler on the trunk adds a nice touch to the overall look of the exterior. The interior has plenty of room with comfortable seats and amazing ergonomics. The dash is not cluttered with buttons but rather it is well organized. The aluminum trim in the interior is a nice addition to the already attractive interior décor. Even the back seat of the car can fit someone who is six feet tall in relative comfort. There is also an abundance of cargo space in the trunk as well as a voluminous interior for anything else you may need to carry along.
Overall I must say job well done Honda. This is one excellent vehicle. Every detail was taken into consideration in design and functionality to create a masterpiece of a car. It has a near perfect blend of ride, handling, and power that is comparable to the marvelous balance of these three aspects in a BMW 3-Series or a Chevrolet Corvette. This car absolutely, hands down blows away the Toyota Camry and I can’t see why anyone in their right mind would choose it over the Accord. In fact if you are considering an Accord be sure to check out the new Chevrolet Malibu. It is a very nice car that has the right formula to compete head to head with the Accord that the Toyota Camry simply cannot match.
My car is five years old yet while it has low mileage it has been problem free. The only complaint I have is with blind spots. When backing up the view is obstructed by the high trunk line. This isn’t such an issue for me anymore because I am used to the car and I am over six feet tall but for a driver under six feet tall it may be more of an issue. There are also blind spots created by the cars A-pillars, which are on either side of the wind shield, because they are so thick. Furthermore I have the window visor accessory for both my driver and passenger side door window that contributes to the A-pillar blind spot even more. Otherwise I just wish the car was an EX-V6 / 6-Speed Manual combination for the ultimate 2003 Accord Coupe.

After owning my '05 Accord EX V6 Coupe for just a very short time, I am already very impressed. The overall styling, comfort, safety, and performance is up to par with cars priced thousands of dollars more.
The exterior of the Accord, in my opinion, is very sleak and sexy, without attracting lots of extra attention as a Subaru WRX, or Honda's Prelude. The lines of the car flow perfectly, and the headlights are angled to match the lines of the car. The 17 inch stock rims fill the wheel well perfectly, and the fog lights upfront provide more than ample light on dark backroads at night. The only downfall I can think of on the coupe's exterior is that although the dual mufflers look very nice, it does nothing for perfomance, and just adds extra parts that could rust or possibly need to be replaced someday.
The interior of the coupe is near perfect. The heated, power, leather seats are very stylish and comfortable, and are great for long roadtrips. The touchscreen controls for things such as a/c and audio controls are a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, they are very convienent. The steering wheel, besides having cruise control control on the right, also has audio controls on the left, as well as a voice activation for the GPS navigation system. The guages in the dashboard are big and easy to read, and are electronically illuminated providing crystal clear readings in any light. The rear seats are easy to get in and out of for a coupe, and have a surprising amount of legroom ( I am 6'2" with long legs and fit fine). The seats also fold down allowing for storage of long items. All of this with a nice sounding premium audio system and 6 disc changer make the accord's interior very conveinent and comfy. The only complaint i have is that the blind spots are a little bigger than in other four door sedans, but not bad for a coupe.
The performance in the EX coupe comes from a 3.0 liter, v6 engine kicking out 240hp and 212 lb ft of torque. The engine is equipped with Honda's iVtec variable valve timing technology. This kicks in some time around 5,000rpm's, and gives a nice little power boost along with an engine growl that is to die for. This engine is matted up with a 6 speed manual transmission. The shifts are very tight and precise. The engine loves the high rev, and doesn't mind when you downshift at all. With the traction control on, the coupe takes off fairly fast, especially for an Accord. The only cons about the performance are that the 6 speed gearbox is a little tight, which took me about a week or two to get used to when shifting. And I'm not sure if it is just my particular car or not, but sometimes it doesn't like it when i shift into third, and either seems to not click into gear, or sometimes it grinds while going in?? OTher than that I am very satisfied with the overall performance.Aug 02, 2007
