Mazda CX-3 (2016 - 2021) Reviews, Pricing & Specs

I love this car. I have a crystal blue mica 2019 Cx3 GT w i-active AWD and i-stop, Mazda also added McPherson shocks in front for 2019. And for 2019 G vector was added (which historically was only available in luxury vehicles) it has an actual 18” spare tire not a bottle of tire sealant, it has a Bose sound system so no I don’t think its missing anything. I traded in my 2007 Mx5 that I loved and owned for 15 years. But wanted something with a little more space, And after test driving all of the other smaller SUV’s (all had CVT transmissions), this one was the only one that I liked (Mazda doesn’t use CVT transmissions) And my insurance went down dramatically, It does have limited space but if I wanted more space I would have gotten a minivan. Remember it’s A SMALL AWD SUV WITH A LOT OF OPTIONS. I have navigation and AppleCarplay (recently added). This was bought new and now has almost 40k miles and has never had any problems. Mazda did replace the fuel pump for free (recall) they didn’t wait until thousands of people had issues. To wrap things up Mazda makes great cars and I’ve owned a Honda that I had to replace the engine at 37k and 5 Toyotas that were great but not perfect they had back seats but the front seats touched the back seats but they were Celicas I still wouldn’t call them useless or bad cars, I actually used to put my bike in the back, I also had a 02 Xterra that I loved but the air conditioner screamed at me every time I used it but it also had almost 200k miles & I still wouldn’t say it’s a useless car because the air conditioner was noisy. My advice is to think about what you are going to be using a car for before you buy it. If your 6’3 & like to drive with your legs extended straight out, or if you want to go rock climbing & you have more than one kid and you like to drive around with all of your favorite things in the back and then please don’t buy a Cx3 it’s not for you. Great ride. Smooth gear transitions. Comfortable. Nice lines; good looking. Great looking rims. I wish that the vehicle had power seats (surprising, given it has heated seats). I also miss the center console storage, and that the armrest in the center covers over the cup holders (awkward). The media dial takes some getting used to. Good sound system. Tricky blind spots, but the blind spot alert is a good assist. The trunk is very small, and it is not a power-open trunk. Yes: I would recommend this car. However, my next vehicle will be bigger, like the Mazda CX-5. Love the Mazda make. I’m happy. Oct 22, 2021

Awesome compact AWD car. Extremely reliable and feels more like a luxury car than an affordable gas saver. Compared to Subaru or Honda, the Mazda feels like you’re sitting in a Mercedes than a Japanese car. Very affordable as well. Much cheaper than a Toyota, better reliability, and much better options. Mazda has definitely made its way into a higher tier of auto manufacturers.Jul 28, 2021
