Kia Sorento (2016 - 2020) Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Before buying my 2019 Kia Sorento LX, I did days of research and watched many review videos and read tons of articles on this specific year and model. I am highly satisfied with this vehicle. Everything I researched and watched are spot on! My Sorento LX has the V6, 8 speed Auto transmission and I find it very responsive, not sluggish at all. I am very pleased with all the features, except, that it does not have heated seats, thats really my only complaint. I have lower back issues and heated seats would have been perfect. The 2018 Kia Sorento SV is an AWESOME vehicle to own. The value is great! It has a lot of bells and whistles that some of the latest sports utility vehicles have. It even has some that the newer suvs lack. It has a smooth ride & a luxurious appearance and feel. If your budget is tight, but you want ride & look right, this is the vehicle of choice!Jul 17, 2022

I love this car. It lacks for nothing. Drives beautifully, has warnings for any possible thing that could happen, is comfortable, and even though it is white, and I didnt think Id like a white car, this car sparkles in the sunlight. It is simply beautiful. If there is any problem, it is with me learning what everything is for, but I will figure it all out. Warranty is great also. Wish I had bought it sooner!Oct 12, 2021

I really like this car. KIA packs allot of options on thier whole product line for a very reasonable price. Its quiet and comfortable. Good power for a 4 cylinder with a smooth 6 speed AWD transmission. I love the instument layout. Tne touchscreen is very easy to navigate. I connected my phone in about 30 seconds. Love that it works with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. It has plenty of accessory plugs and USB. I also appreciate the NHTSA 5 star crash rating. MPG was good for a car of this size. I have been averaging 27.5 on the highway, which is where I spend most of my time.Sep 07, 2021

In all honesty, I went in to test drive the Sorento thinking Id be disappointed. I purchased a used Kia Sportage about 16 years ago, and I hated it. From my estimation, Kia has improved their vehicles over the years. Ive only owned my Kia Sorento for about a week, so I dont know what Im looking at down the road. But, I have to state that this vehicle has a very smooth ride and great pick up. I wanted a V6 because of the towing capacity. Im not worried about that at all. I was pretty impressed with the roominess to put anything in the back as I like to camp and I also sell pottery at fairs and festivals. The third back row is great. I dont think Ill use it much, but it came in handy with the two grandkids yesterday. Im not sure how I feel about the gas mileage yet. Im taking a camping trip with a friend this coming week end, so I guess Ill figure out how much mileage Ill get on the highway then. One thing I seriously worried about is if my elderly mom (88 years old) would be able to get up into the passenger side seat. She is on the short side. She actually was pretty happy with how easily she could plot her rear end on the seat. Im still figuring out the bells and buzzers. The Sorento is definitely a step up from my 2011 Subaru Outback when it comes to technology. I am also happy with the second and third row air conditioning. Our 2018 Sorento is a roomy midsize front wheel drive vehicle. Higher ground clearance makes seating and exiting very convenient. Visibility is good all around with rear view camera. The 2.4 liter engine with 6 speed automatic transmission is peppy and responsive. Cargo space is very adequate for larger objects with flat fold down seats creating space for sleeping or bulky items. The KIA SORENTO model we purchased is the SX and has all available options, as far as I can tell. This car far exceeds all of my expectations. I have previously owned Lexus R350, Acura MDX, Cadillac SRX, This model comes very close in comfort, handling, space and features at a lower price point. While we have only owned this car for a short time, I have full expectations that this is a car we will keep for quite a long time. Very happy with the KIA SORENTOJan 14, 2021

Have not received the car yet. It is yet to be delivered. But everything we have read and watched has been very positive about this car. Everyone keeps comparing the third row seats and less luggage storage to other larger vehicles. We keep saying, this is a cross over, not a minivan. If you want a third row with lots of extra luggage space, buy a minivan not a cross over. I am sure we will love the car!Aug 02, 2020
