This car is exactly what I was looking for. 1 owner low miles and newer than my old 2006 trailblazer. Nice smooth comfy ride and nice acceleration. Bought this for my wife, didnt know they made a v8 model, I want that one for myself.Nov 17, 2022

Love this Car, Just burnt out the drivers side heated seat and the NAV screen has faded to the point of no return. Silver overlay on the door handles are peeling off and creating kind of a hazard for people trying to get out of the car. Could easily cut themselves. Its an old car but drives like a dream machine, Very smooth and solid vehicle. I would buy a G80 if I had the money.Nov 08, 2022

The 2009 Genesis is great. It has all of the features you may be looking for. It rides very smoothly and it’s just a nice looking ride that is reliable. Can’t go wrong with a Genesis.Jul 01, 2022

Great car! Put 195000 miles on it and never had any serious issues. Just brake pads, light bulbs, oil changes, etc... I now own its big brother, the Equus. Best far Ive EVER owned!!May 04, 2022

The car is very nice although I cant figure out how ripping out the wooden dash for a leather one, when 95% of the interior is already leather, can be considered a premium package upgrade. Sep 25, 2021

Love the Hyundai Genesis. It kind of reminds me of smaller LS model Lexus. Great features & stylish for the value of the car.Sep 15, 2021

The Hyundai Genesis had not even entered my thoughts when I started looking at used Nissan Maxima, Toyota Camry and Lexus ES 350’s. I happened to test drive one that I saw at a dealership and was totally surprised by this model. The fact that it drives like a dream and is standard with loads of bells and whistles, yet doesn’t carry the overbearing price tag of euro luxury car made it my new target. The 3.8 liter is incredibly responsive and still averages 23 mpg certainly adds to its appeal also. Wry happy to have found what I wanted.May 15, 2021

Lexus features, performance and looks for much less. Over time some small build quality issues may emerge that wouldnt on a Lexus but overall its extremely tough to say anything bad at all about this car. Very satisfying to own, drive, and look at. May 03, 2021

I think this car is a great value for the money. Im in the process of getting one now (2013) and almost every single thing I have seen and read indicates very good reliability and workmanship. Nov 11, 2020

2nd Genesis RSpec. Like the ride and love the power. The car is a decent value. There are two in the driveway now. Needed a 2nd car and a deal came up to good to pass. Always room for improvement on any car. Nicer than man daughters E320 and more affordable than an AMG. Also cheaper to maintain. The ride is comparable as well.Apr 24, 2020

My 2009 Genesis has 89,000 miles and it still looks great! I love the way it handles, its strong & responsive engine, and its classy interior. It flies effortlessly & smoothly down the highway and the stereo sound is perfection! In 2009, Hyundai was still playing catch-up in terms of execution refinement. The steering wheel auto-positioning feature has a glitch. The radio receivers Sirius reception needs to be refreshed every time it is selected. The trunk lid is very heavy, though I have not attempted to adjust it, if it is even possible. All that said, I love my Genesis. A great used vehicle value!Apr 21, 2020

The performance of the car is stellar. Once you drive the Genesis R-Spec nothing else will compare. Strong acceleration on tap. Emergency auto braking kicked in on the 405 freeway one day - avoided an accident. Bluetooth and nav easy to use.Feb 09, 2015

I purchased this car brand new in 2009. Absolutely satisfied with the car. I have had 2 notes with telephone numbers from anonymous admirers of this car placed under the windshield wipers within the first month! This is a great car for a great price!Dec 02, 2014

Hyundai has come a long way since the 80's. This car is comparable to the Lincoln Town Car as far as quality, space, ride and size. This has a slightly smaller wheel base than the Lincoln and smaller cargo capacity, but the interior is just as spacious. The drivetrain is far more powerful than the Lincoln even though they use the same 4.6L v8. the difference is the Lincoln has about 245hp where this has around 370hp. the 6 speed auto really helps with fuel economy. I have gotten between 24 and 35 MPG on the highway. At first when I was introduced to this car I figured it would be your typical transverse FWD configuration. But then i learned it was a RWD with a v8. In a Hyundai.. I was completely shocked that the quality that went into this car was almost that of a lower end Mercedes. the overall performance was that of a sports car, but the smooth floating ride of a old sedan. this car is by far the best I have ever had and the only thing I would trade it for would be for the 5.0 version.Nov 23, 2014

I really like the body style and overall size of the car. It is so spacious. Overwhelmingly loaded with standard features that only come as extras in other luxury vehicles. I wish there was more wood grained trim in the interior.Feb 25, 2014

love the strong acceleration - while at the same time miserly fuel economy. BMW, Mercedes can't match the technology. Doors sound solid as a rock when closing. Quiet, luxurious ride. Confident and stable in corners...begs to be driven. Love it!Aug 13, 2013

A lot of luxury for the price. Owned a Lexus amd Mercedes prior and gave up nothing Love the warranty many confuse if for a MB or BMW that is fun. The NAV is a little quirky but OK to useOct 17, 2011

If you are looking for affordable luxury at an affordable price, then you need not look any further. This car performs like a luxury sports car and has the looks and drive of a mid size mercedes. the interior is well apointed and options are driver friendly. The cost of ownership is very reaonable, gas mileage averages 27(mph)Hwy and 22(mph)city. The only maintenance needed during 26000 miles has been routine oil changes and tire rotations. Driving this car makes you smile! Jan 10, 2011

Fun to drive at thousands less than a comparable car. Flawless quality. An interior with true craftsmanship touches and a killer Lexicon (optional) sound system. Surprisingly good mileage 18-22 blended and 29+ highway. Get lots of comliments on the styling.Sep 15, 2010

Great V8 engine, no major repairs yet but squeaked a little,
performed good, acceleration and braking top notch, cost
around $50000 for the V8 4.6L, definitely a fun and cool car
to drive as I hear whistles around as I drive Oct 27, 2009

The suspension is rather harsh when traveling over bumps in the road, small or large. However in every other aspect of the car,it is awesome and I would not hesitate to buy another one ,once the suspension is retuned.Apr 29, 2009
