Reliable, high quality, never any problems, economical, efficient, fun. Anything you
could want for a car really, always there to rely on and isnt dull. Sometimes more
expensive than the competitors but this is because its worth more! Like for like,
much better than similar cars.May 06, 2011

Enough performance to bring me from A to B....
Good build quality, no repairs until now.
Appearance, whats that? Styling: not existant :-))))
Low owning costs and high gas mileage.
Makes some fun to drive, especially in town and when I need to park.Oct 22, 2010

I have wrecked it, it hardly moves, the performance is rubish anyway, apperance, it looks like a monkeys bottom, you defenatly don't want to be seen in it, it's boring to drive, you've got to hide it of your drive, and it's actually a little good to drive.Sep 07, 2010

Þægilegur, sparsamur og góður í að keyra á vespur lýsir þessum bíl mjög vel. Hann hefur allt sem til þarf til þess að keyra á vespur, hurða fólk á laugaveginum og til þess að skemmta þeim heimsku nautum sem segja að þetta tryllitæki sé kvenmanns bíll eða á nokkurn hátt lélegur.May 06, 2010

S'Toyota. Its hard to find in car parks and never really goes wrong. Mine has a
Leyland badge in the hope that it'll become more interesting.
Ridiculously economical, and can be quite good fun sometimes. Whines in the
bottom gears like an old Mini.
Avoid corners. Apr 22, 2010

Toyota is one of the leading car manufacturers in the world. By using this model I was able to achieve speed, economy and lot's of other things. A small car, easy to park. Oh and Toyota is the manufacturer I like the bestJan 26, 2010

My Yaris is an awesome first car. It handles bloody well considering how high up it is, I'm not brave enough to find out how fast I need to go before it gives up gripping, and I don't hang around. It has this really annoying squeak every time I put the clutch in because it was left standing on a driveway for long periods of time by the previous owner without any use. I'm leaving it all standard so I can sell it on to an old dear once I can move up engine sizes. It get me round cheaply fuel wise in these petrol money grabbing bastard times, and never goes wrong!!

Feb 09, 2009

This review is of the 5 door Yaris T3. Overall I have had a very positive experience of this little city car. Its I a fun car to drive with a sporty feeling to the gearshift and steering. It is relatively fast as long as you keep the revs above 3500 it is very nippy. I did a 150 miles in this little car and it was very comfy and at no point did I feel like I was in a small, easy to park, city car and it managed an amazing 49mpg at 70 mph.
As for its carrying capacity, okay, the standard boot is a bit small but it can cope with the weekly shop. However if you drop one seat it can easily cope with three sets of skis and boots (from my own experience).
As I am normally driving i have on good authority from my friends that the rear seats are spacious enough even for two 6 foot tall guys. If its a short journey 3 people can survive in the back.
The build quality is exactly enough not to much or too little, just what you would want and need. If I could change anything it would be to make the headlamps better and make the indicator clicker louder as it is easy for an indicator not to cancel and not be heard. It is fairly robust and if something does take a prang (ie a bumper) it simply pops back into place.
Overall its a great little car that can be driven to work or for fun.Jan 13, 2009

Performance is excellent although it may be a bit underpowered at dire times. It is an absolutely amazingly built car and looks like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get when you open it. It spends not gas at all and it is blue of course!Oct 14, 2008

It is so cheap to run abd the wife loves it. It can do up to 110 mph and the fuel efficiency is great. The dashboard is unique and the colour suits my mood (black)! ha ha. I can be parked in tight corners and no one wants to nick itSep 30, 2008

This was my first car, bought because I was on a tight budget, and needed the most reliable car I could afford. And this car was certainly reliable.
I bought my 1.0L Yaris GS when it was 3 1/2 years old, and owned it for 4 1/2 more, and it never needed anything fixed. Literally the only thing I had to do to it (apart from routine servicing) was change the front brake pads once. It needed absolutely nothing else in the time I had it, not even tyres! This little car was solid.
But there were downsides, of course. The 1.0L engine, despite it being a very good 1.0L, was frustratingly slow, and had to be thrashed simply to keep up with the traffic around you. The image of the car meant that all other drivers assumed that you were an old granny driving really slowly, and so pulled out in front of you with monotonous regularity.
And then there was what I call the "Toyota Syndrome". Yes the car was reliable, worked perfectly and did everything you could reasonably expect a small car to do. But there was no "spark" there. No X-factor that made you want to drive it. It was, in a word, boring. Clark Kent without Superman underneath.
If you want your car to stir your emotions, then this, and virtually all other Toyotas, is a definite no.
I am giving this car 3* because it really does not produce any emotions in me at all, positive or negative. It was simply a very reliable tool to get me from A to B, nothing more.Sep 19, 2008

Brilliant Tax, Insurance, MPG and maintenance costs. Not nearly a supercar, but still got a little nip to it. Comfortable, surprisingly spacious for a small car, apart from the little boot. Never had any major problems with it, never broke down. Will get you to Devon and back on the M5 no problems. Overall, a top car for anyone with a tight pocket like me!Sep 07, 2008

Had it since new, so over 7 years ain't bad, not broken down on me yet..... Good acceleration, and fun to drive. I'm over 6"t 3 ins, but still have pleanty of leg room for me in the front and the seats fold back well in the back. Funny when you pull away from a Vauxhall Corsa at lights!!!Aug 05, 2008

Some may call my car a dinky toy (Richard and Tasha) But I think its great!! It's reliable and has a fair amount of grunt for a 1.0ltr! It's fairly cost effective on fuel and it is fun to drive! I would recommend it to anyoneone who wants a reliable fun car!Jul 27, 2008

Typical japanese car, always starts first time and never had any major bother with it. Doddle to service and parts are surprisingly cheap.
You'll either love or hate the digital dashboard, personally I love it.Jun 09, 2008

I bought this car second hand and have it now for almost two years. I've got no complaints about it. It's reliable, even though it's outside 24-7, and apart from some standard maintenance, nothing has gone wrong so far.
It's also quite cheap to buy and run. Due to it's size it's also a very good city car, easy to park, easy to maneuver. You can also transport quite a bit of goods in it, if you fold up the back seats.May 31, 2008
