The car itself was spotless and looked very good for its age. It had relatively low mileage for a Honda accord. It was fairly priced and a good deal. Dec 01, 2023

This Honda was amazing. Super smooth with great pick up on the freeway. I’ve driven other brands and nothing can ever stand up to Honda. Mar 06, 2023

This car has awesome features, moonroof, brakes, dark clothe seats, automatic windows, locks. Decent stereo system. It has a/c vents in the back of the armrest for backseat passangers, plenty leg room and storage for sunglasses, cups and other mentionables.Aug 28, 2020

Now approaching 91,000 miles and other than 2 sets of tires, only cost has been maintenance as called for by Maintenance Minder. I drove an 2008 Accord to 150,000 and passed on to a family member with similar experience (although brakes had been replaced).

Overall I really like this car, very low cost to maintain, very responsive and a great ride. I really enjoy how it handles, the overall gas mileage, and its power. The heated seats are always nice for the midwest winters.Dec 19, 2014

Overall this is an excellent vehicle with great handling and most of the amenities needed in a four door sedan. The power is a little less than expected but I'd take the fuel efficiency over power with gas prices the way they are at this point.Jun 24, 2013

Great car and I always go for Honda for their design and reliability. This is an awesome maintenance free vehicle, this is a good family car, good car for work and without being at the cost of a luxury car, it provides that luxury and style while driving. Neighbors envy and owners pride.Feb 09, 2013

This car is ideal for someone commuting to/from work in traffic. It has great A/C and heated seats making it comfortable for all seasons. The stereo sounds great and has the option for XM as well. If you don't drive a lot and want something fun to drive this is not for you. Feb 06, 2013

Great car. About 32 MPG at 75mph of the highway. Looks great, reasonable price. Very reliable. No maintenence costs other than normal oil changes, etc. Computer on the car notifies you when it's time to change oil, and other maintenance needed. Time between changes, but averages about 7000 miles for me. Great car, can't go wrong with the Accord SedanJul 19, 2012

This is an excellent grocery getter and family car. The car has excellent safety features and gets good gas mileage. Suspension and chassis is well thought out. The transmission shift points work very well for performance and economy. Honda accord even though has dated styling the car still performs well.
The only issue I have is with the "hill assist" the transmission will downshift going down all hills. This feature is very annoying and I wish I could turn it off.

After being okay on the test drive, the 10-way power driver seat is impossibly uncomfortable for drives longer than about 30 minutes. Feels like a bulge pressing into the center of my back, dealer inspected it and said it is normal. Car was garaged with 200 miles, was going to trade in at huge loss or replace seats with aftermarket ones (not a great solution). Lots of complaints online, didn't expect anything like this from Honda.
Update: The active head restraint system is what pushes up against the seat occupant's back. Steps to remove the seat back upholstery and a couple methods to remedy the problem can be found here. Caution: some of the remedies disable the active headrest system.

My old company gave me a company car. They went bankrupt. New company took away the company car. Had to buy something quick and I had purchased 2 Accords previously and had very good experiences with both of them. Researched and compared it to a Toyota Camry (the company car I had - loads of power but fit and finish were poor and the accelerator got stuck on me once (think it was my floor mats though)), Hyundai Azera and a BMW 3 series. The sticker price was close to $30,000 for the EX-L with leather in the 4 cylinder version. I bought it in Jan of 2009 and car sales were sluggish. I drove it off the lot with taxes, title and tags for $26,000. I really didn't like the car at first. Road more like a sports car than I cared. However, it grew on me. Handles surprisingly well for a 4 door sedan and the little 2.4L 4 cylinder engine reminds me a lot of my 86 Porsche 944 (not as good with torque and the spread is much smaller). It is actually a fun car to drive on a daily basis. I get about 25-26 mpg on a combined city/highway commute of about 54 miles round trip each day. My commute takes about 40 minutes each way so I spend a fair amount of time in the car. The brakes wore out of me around 25,000 which seemed really odd to me but the car does stop on a dime. Other than that, it has been trouble free. Best gas mileage I ever got was 31 mpg on a business trip of about 210 miles. Clients actually like the car as it has great leg room in the rear seat. I've put men over 6'4" in the back seat and they claimed they had no leg room issues. I've even put 3 children's car seats on the back seat when our minivan was out of service for a couple of days. That was SHOCKING as they are pre-school age seats. Trunk is good size and can hold a fair amount. Tires have lasted over 45,000 miles which is shocking to me. They came with Michelin Pilots. Don't ride all that well and make a fair amount of noise. The cabin noise is a bit annoying as I use a lot of hands free talking in the car. The bluetooth was either installed incorrectly or is a poor system. It drops my phone about once a commute and takes several minutes to find it again. That and the brakes are the only real complaints. I will definitely hang on to this for a very long time.Nov 24, 2011

I purchased this car new in 2008 and have been very happy with the
car. I love the look and quality of the car. I average 28-30 mpg on the
highway and it's lots of fun to drive. The 4cylinder I-VTEC engine is
very quick and accelerates rapidly onto the highway. I love the 6 disc
CD changer and I also love the fact that I have airbags all around me.
Front, side of seat, and side curtain airbags extending to the back
passengers. The cost to own this car is relatively low and I enjoy the
maintenence minder system showing me my oil perecentage i.e. 100%,
75%, 15%. Honda recommends changing the oil at 15% which is every
4-5K miles. Mar 16, 2011

low milage, but very luxury. A very good car compared to competion and price. Especially good on the long drives with a strong and very silent engine. Good quality all over and very though through solutions. I will definitely recommend this car to othersAug 16, 2010

This review is for my 2009 Honda Accord EX-L. Much better than my Altima.
Impressive sounding exhaust note, Textbook example acceleration on takeoffs.
Great amount of torque and hp for the price.Interior, and exterior looks and
quality, make the altima look horrible for an almost $5,000.00 price difference.
Very high reving engine, great transmission. Car automatically downshifts itself
right when u want it to. Amazing bang for the buck with this car. This car is
sooooo much better than the altima in almost every category you can think of.
The weight of the car slightly affects the performance numbers but this car is
very fast to 60 from a takeoff and feels quite a bit faster then what the
performance number rate it at.Honda actually uses the engine from the LX
accord and tunes it from 177hp to 190hp for this car. You can definitely hear
and feel the difference from the exhaust note, and slightly in acceleration as
well. Engine revs suprisingly high getting up to almost 7200rpm before hitting
the rev limiter!!!! Much better than the altima transmission in many ways.
Engine sounds great even at idle and the exhaust even has slight burble to it
even at idle. Just to let you guys know this car has the exhaust finisher/tip that
comes on this car straight from the factory.Although this car has nearly 200
Japanese ponies, all this fun affects the cars mileage and it averaged about 19-
21mpg on a test i did. Car is beautifully styled as well, the dashboard resembles
that of a bmw 6 series and quality is amazing. Nothing feels cheap or
inexpensive. The steering also feels great on this car as well. IF YOU ARE
CHOOSING BETWEEN AN ALTIMA OR ACCORD, GET THE ACCORD!!!!!!!!Jul 24, 2010

We chose this car mostly because of its consumer reports test. It was ranked as one of the most solid and dependable cars ever made. After the first test drive, i was sold. With gas prices the way they are, the gas mileage i get (anywhere between 28 and 32) is a welcome bonus. We bought in December, and ive loved it ever since. Jun 26, 2008

Some great things about the V6 Auto is that it gets great gas mileage especially with the VCM system. The ride is really smooth and the pickup is amazing. The car also has many safety features. The audio features on the steering wheel are very helpful while listening to music and driving without getting distracted. What I really like the most about the car is that it has an incredible amount of leg room. Being 6'2", I've drove many cars and ended up with a sore ankle because the leg room was just awful for my height, this is the first car that I am able to relax while driving.Apr 05, 2008
