Dodge Journey (2009 - 2020) Reviews, Pricing & Specs

I own a 2016 Dodge Journey and just the other day the drivers head rest popped out . I was changing my seat cover for the head rest when this happened. I tried to put it back in place but there aren’t any clips to fix it so I figure it’s a defect. I’ve read a lot of complaints about this happening. This needs to be placed on the recall list. I have also had trouble with my transmission, which I have also heard bad news about. Hopefully Dodge will figure out and fix these problems.Aug 30, 2024

Ive been driving a journey for 5 years now and I like the car so much that this is the third one I have purchased. I love the amount of leg room and the fact that I dont have to climb up to get into it and I dont have to sit down far to get into it. It drives smooth and this particular journey has many extra features on it that I really enjoy. Such as a sun roof, Bluetooth, Backup camera, and larger viewable screen on the dash. We had a 2010 Journey RT and were very satisfied with it so we were looking for something similar. This 2016 Journey RT has not disappointed. The motor has a nice amount of power, seats very comfortable and the bells and whistles it came with are great too. My only wish is that the mileage was a little better but all in all we are very happy with our purchase.Mar 10, 2023

This car has a good set of features but I bought it for all the room I have in the back. I can throw my bike or Kayak in the back with no problem. I find the 2.4L engine & 4 seed transmission provide sufficient acceleration and I am no longer concerned. This car is a great value to me. It would be nice if it had auto lock doors as I am accustom to this feature. Mar 25, 2021

This is my third Dodge Journey I have owned. I have had a great experience driving a Journey over the years and I can't complain. It offers good handling, smooth driving on the highway, never any problem keeping up with or passing traffic. I am not getting as good mileage as I did on my previous Journey. I am hoping as it gets built in, the gasoline might go a little further. The vehicle has lots of storage space but I got this one with a back seat which requires it be put down to make for more storage room in the back..No big problem. I stayed with the V6 engine as I have had good luck with it previously. Although the 4 cylinder has the same HP as I had in my old 2000 Dodge Caravan, the Journey weighs in a bit more and I figure it needs the larger engine. Also I tow a small RV and the extra power is nice.Apr 06, 2015

build quality fantastic, inclusions for the money far superior than anything else on market, performance - a little sluggish could use a bit bigger engine only has 2.7L V6. Interior syling - storage for everything you ever would need. good quality leather seats very comfortable. currently not many in australia but growing in popularity quickly. milage is same as other family transporters av 11.7L per 100km.Nov 14, 2010

Great vehicle. The 3.5L V6 is very adequate for this vehicle. You can't even hear it running and yet when you step on it has a nice sound through the dual exhaust. The ride quality is absolutely amazing! My buddy who has a Cadillac Escalade says it rides better than his vehicle. The 19" wheels and chrome plated rims really add a sporty appearance. I get compliments all the time. The gas mileage is pretty good considering it weighs 4000lbs. All in all I would definitely recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for versatility and a very comfortable ride. Oh and I almost forgot....there is storage everywhere!!Jun 26, 2009
