What a great drivers car and experience, as long as you have a shoe size smaller than a 10, are less than 6 feet tall and less than 200lbs. If any of the above applies to you, then you will never get the full experience of this great American muscle car.Feb 20, 2023

Love the noise and the response the car gives and it gets tons of attention. You can't really hide anywhere in this car. Great show car also and can be a good weekend getaway car. Tons of power available even when stock.Oct 30, 2014

Love everything about it. I hate to get rid of it. But I just don't have time to drive it. If you have the means I highly recommend getting one. Faster and better handling then cars costing 10 times as much. Mine is Viper race yellow (pull me over yellow) and it is like a one car parade everywhere you go.Apr 28, 2014

There is nothing to dislike about this car. The blue with white stripes on this car set it from the rest of the vipers on the road. Every time I take it for a spin I see people taking pictures with their cell phones.Feb 28, 2012

This is my 99 Dodge Viper GTS. I bought it less than a year ago and it really is in near mint condition with only 18k miles on it. I also have a first generation Viper that ,while tons of fun ,isn't as refined as this 99. This one has power windows ,a nice stereo etc...while the older RT/10 is really just a super powerful hi-torqe monster. I don't know which is fastest but both are to be respected while driving. All in all a super fun and dependable, well built American Super car.Jun 02, 2011

I bought this 94 Dodge Viper RT/10 about two years ago.It is a very powerful car and has been modded with headers, gears, short throw shifter etc...a lot of fun,but you have to control the beast! It will bite you if you don't respect the power...not for the feint hearted :)Jun 02, 2011

superior performance in an American-made car. super fun to drive and will melt life's stress' away. eye-catching styling and sound. 9 out of 10 in WOW factor. Even Corvette owners will be envious of you. Highly recommended automobile. If you're concerned about gas mileage... then look elsewhere.Nov 21, 2009

It was a good track car. We had to remove the shims in the suspension and then it was on like donkey kong. Dodge did a great job in refining the drivability from 1993 to then. I have not driven a new one yet but want to.May 26, 2009

The GTTS Viper is a true driver's car. There is no traction control or ABS (unitil 2000). The car is bullet proof in reliability and can be driven every day (I have for 13 years). Brakes are weak if you drive hard or take it ot the track. I replaced mine with Stop Tech Big Brakes and they are fantastic. Once the car is aligned correctly it is hard to like other cars with this much onscene amounts of torque.
The Daytona ble paint with white stripes still gets everyone's attention to this day.Mar 23, 2009

The 1996 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe is a collector car without subtlety, without too much high technology, and, ultimately, without pity.
I have never been in a car so ridiculously thrilling and powerful as the Dodge Viper. It is not an ordinary sports car. Other prestigious sports cars pale by comparison and the performance beats every car imaginable. Jan 02, 2009

Owning this car is awesome if you want to have a real performance car and get tons of attention. There simply is nothing that looks like a first generation Viper. The 1994 Viper is truly a classic and it is appreciating in value as the first generation becomes even rarer. Gas mileage is surprisingly good for a car with this much power, 26 hwy averaging 70 MPH.
There are not many cars on the road that get the kind of attention the Dodge Viper receives. Not only is it one of the fastest production cars on the road, but its fun to drive. It is just as awesome today as it was in 1994.

This car is not just a GTS but a GTS/R one of 100 and built to commemorate the FIA GT Win in 1998 this is car number 52 and it was car 52 that won the championship. The original owner was Justin Bell who won the championship for DodgeNov 13, 2008

Raw muscle. Unpolished, brutal and primal. The Viper lacks creature comforts, but makes up for it with the sheer driving experience it offers.
Fit and finish is below average... all of Dodge's focus went onto performance, and the Viper delivers! NO traction control, no optional automatic transmission.. heck, there are not even cupholders. What you get are 450 untamed horsepower stock.
Aftermarket upgrades will put up to 1500 hp under that huge hood, while still retaining every day driveability. The Viper is unlike any car on the road, and is unlike anything that will ever be on it!Nov 08, 2008

Its a dream car to drive or ride in!!!!!! We have put on so many miles already and plan a long cruise this month, you forget about everything else when you are cruising in this car. Its truly a dream we never imagined we would be living, we are so very happy to own it. Sep 06, 2008

Performance: acceleration in the higher rpm range is extremely noticeable. Car seems to really take off in the lower gears and breaks the stock Pilot Sport's loose at all chances.
Build Quality: car is built like a rock. Only downside is that the clutch pedal is very soft until you reach the friction point.
Appearance: what more can you ask for? This iconic car from Dodge sets itself apart from all other cars out there. Snapping necks left right and centre.
Cost of Ownership: EXPENSIVE!
Fun Factor: If fun were 10/10, this would probably be 100/10...if that were possible.Aug 05, 2008

Car looks great. Attracts attention, even from Corvette and Ferrari owners. Great engine and traction. It really goes like a rocket. But it has its down side.Mar 29, 2008

I own a 1996 Dodge Viper White with blue stripes. I drove the car from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Los Angles, California this past summer.
I have 30,000 miles on the car and don't usually drive it much around town most of the miles are freeway driving. For those of you who don't know it these are great road cars provided you pack as if on a motorcycle. Mine gets 22 miles to the gallon using 6th gear at all speeds over 65 mph. The ride is firm but not noticeable on the freeway and when driven in triple digits, safe conditions permitting cuts travel time and plenty of smiles per mile. No I am not some wimp 2 felony speeding tickets in 13 years to prove it. Have been to racing school for both cars and motorcycles also ride a R1 Yamaha as it was meant to be ridden. I don't do wheelies but do ocassionaly drag a knee. These cars are meant to be driven by drivers notsomeone looking for luxury. Or to showoff but in the spirit of Pre 1971 Corvettes and Muscle cars. If driven in this manner you will begin smilling just thinking about your next drive.

Promises much and does'nt deliver.
The gearbox has an identity crisis
It rattles as if a baby should have it for a toy
I've seen the rivets pulling loose as I drove.
As result of the bad gearbox, good performance is impossible to elicitJan 08, 2008

Back to basics supercar. Understressed obscenely oversized motor, bullet proof drivetrain and timeless good looks keeps you satisfied. Superb handling, great braking and right-level comforts make for a classic in it's own time.Jan 06, 2008

Having just purchased the car less than a week ago, I was unsure. After driving it for just a few times, I am estatic that I have it parked in my garage. With no frills, just basic equipment, the car is made for true fans of speed, handling and stopping power, both literally and figuratively. Sep 18, 2007
