This is a great family sedan, can be used for spirited driving, has good power and useable traction, handling is good, room is excellent, and even though the styling is perhaps a little dated, it is a very presentable car for any occasion. This car returns over 25mpg (US) and is a very comfortable cruising vehicle. Prices have dropped a little but don't let that fool you, the price of these will go up especially for corrosion-free examples. These were hand-made and if maintained properly, will give lots of problem-free miles.Dec 06, 2011

Words can not properly describe an e34 M5, let alone any M5. It is a pricey to maintain, and tempermental car. And yes, I am a BMW guy, I dont say that lightly. However, get to know the car and it's personality, and it's all worth it. Jul 16, 2010

It's actually a 1988 (E28) M5. FB doesn't go back that far.
This is the 1st generation M5. Hand built. Only about 1200 came to the U.S.

extreme performance..good acceleration..weak braking..average handiling..solid build quality..nice design..6 to 7 k it costs..very bad gas mileage..maintenance..we dont know this kind of words..yes it is. voom voom vooom ..I call a driver that who can drift with it

it's a 1993 BMW M5,it has a nice interior design and it also looks very good from the outside,it has very good acceleration and the handling is great too,it also has good braking,it is fun to drive even though it has a very bad gas mileage,and whats good about it,it rarely breaks down. Feb 08, 2009

The straightline performance is a bit lacking compared to modern fast cars, but considering it's size and weight it's not too bad. What it may lack in performance it certainly makes up for in handling and driving pleasure. It really comes alive on a nice twisty road or track. The build quality is excellent but the newer 3.8 litre models can be a bit costly to maintain, the shocks are priced like they're made of gold etc.Jul 29, 2008

Brilliant motor, faultless drive once the tired self leveling rear suspension was binned and coil overs where fitted and adjusted properly, just had a nightmare modifying the power steering pump to a normal one but once i got my ass in gear an easy swap (maybe i was just making a scene). After that brilliant around corners and blistering in a straight line!!!May 16, 2008

BMW's 5's are always gr8 cars 2 drive no matter witch one but more fun with the larger engine ones, power everything (witch sum would say is a con but u can get lucky), the kinda car that never lets u feel uneasy.....Apr 30, 2008

Detta är verkligen en av världens genom tiderna bästa bilar, i mitt tycke, och jag är mycket glad över att äga ett bra exemplar. Den sista handmonterade M-bilen, och den slutgiltiga inkarnationen av motorn med rötterna i den klassiska 24-ventilerssexan från bland andra M1. Man måste uppleva M5 E34 för att verkligen förstå charmen med dessa bilar... kraftexplosionen och ljudet över 4250 varv/minut, den helt utsökta balansen och den oöverträffade kvalitetskänslan.
