The car is good for its age and mileage. It drives well on the highway little shaky in city, but overall good! My rating is 4 stars after 24 hours with the car. Apr 16, 2024

Good car and value just ran into a few small issues that should have been addressed before I got the car other than that because I know how to work on cars its not a big issueAug 08, 2022

I think the Subaru 2004 Forester Turbo is a fantastic car. Extremely easy and fun to drive. This particular car had all the premium features. Leather and heated seats, moon/sun roof and 6 CD am/fm radio. The only requirement is that you use premium gas in this performance engine Turbo model.Dec 04, 2021

We were pleased to find a dependable, reliable, affordable Subaru as a first car for a new driver. We were pleased with spacious interior and all wheel drive feature for inclement weather conditions. Aug 19, 2021

These second generation Foresters are jewels... reliable, easy to see out of, extremely practical, stylish in a cool dorky way... especially the XT which is now holding or going up in value, in particular the manuals. Aug 03, 2020

I love this car. It's smooth and supe low maintenance. Never had a single trouble with it. Only one previous owner who took excellent care of it. This car is super spacious, has roof racks and has 3 car chargers so I loved to go camping in it. Manual transmission and just the fact that it's Subaru means it handles ice and snow beautifully. Excellent gas mileage for its size, and a perfectly excellent car overall.Dec 18, 2014

Comfortably tows a trailer.
Comfortable on long trips.
Nothing ever breaks.
Decent gas mileage.
Always starts right up.
Count on replacing the Timing belt and front end gears when specified.
Head gaskets seem to be a problem on a lot of these cars.Nov 08, 2014

Lots of power. Turbo lag is minimal. Very comfortable. Performs just as well off road as on road. Well equipped. A bit heavy on fuel if you drive a little more spirited than normal. A dream on the open road.Apr 05, 2011

Everything ! Love yhe perfomance in handling when trying to avoid an accident once. Big money saver because of good gas mileage and no need for any major repairs. Love driving this car short and long distances! Good safe car. This car based SUV is easier to get in and out of than the large SUV's. Check it out !Feb 19, 2011

Solid car, well built, lots of room without sacrificing performance. Strong engine, 5 speed clutch. Fast and good aftermarket support. Cheap to maintain, subaru parts are easy to find. Very fun to drive, offroad, cruise, anything and everything. Perfect for the family oriented tuner.Sep 11, 2009

manual car has good acceleration even when the horse power is not too big. gas mileage is great. Big sun roof. Great compact SUV with big cargo room. small torque make easy U turns. maintenance is pretty easy 6 years no major breakdowns.Sep 09, 2009

I love the ability to go anywhere, do anything, and get there in a hurry. It can go off-roading with the SUV's, then get back on the road and smoke Mustang GT's all day long. It is a great all around car. I wouldn't trade it for anything.Jul 21, 2009

Love the car all around.. looks amazing. it handles
perfectly on corners not much body roll which is
fantastic for an suv but that is thanks to the boxer
engine that it has. The front hood scoop gives it a very
egressive feel to it what also is attractive. the sun roof
is huge. It goes all the way back to the second rowJul 01, 2009

Great car. The interior has nicely thought-out styling and design, with curves and circles that all tie together. With seats up and a wash, it's presentable for work. With seats down it's an excellent worker around the farm and dog taxi, bike taxi, fence post hauler, etc. I've had no unexpected maintenance or repairs. It's fun to drive, and has good visibility in all directions. I love this car. My only disappointment is that it will probably run forever, and I will not get a chance to buy a new one!Apr 16, 2009

Performance –
acceleration, Decent
braking, excellent
handling, very good, much improved over previous generation
Build Quality –
Very good, only needed minor repairs, some cheap pieces, some minor squeaks and rattles
Appearance –
Good looking car, don't love the grey bumpers
Cost of Ownership –
25-26mpg, very good mileage from a brick shaped, AWD car.
Fun Factor – is this car fun to drive? Yes, it is very fun to drive, and has a good ride which is a hard combination to get right. It's really fun in the snow with snow tires.Jan 14, 2009

I love this car! My Forester survived 40,000 in one year and toughed it out through its first Alaskan winter. It has performed flawlessly and has never been stuck in the snow. It gets excellent traction in all types of foul weather and has fairly good gas mileage. Overall, my Forester has been a great car with no problems.Sep 11, 2008

The car is unassuming until you get up close. The STi body kit and rims give it an aggressive look and the WRX engine gives it plenty of pep. The interior is spartan but comfortable, no overload of electronic gadgets (aside from the AUX in port on the dash - which I love). I took it on a 1,000 mile road trip with two dogs and was very happy with how it rode and handled, especially in snowy weather.Jun 14, 2008

This car's been great. Hope to get a good 10 years out of it at least. It's been everything we wanted. Good amount of space for the dog, and now for the kid. Fantastic for snowy Minnesota (and Michigan) winters.Feb 29, 2008
