I have admired this model for years. I bought this car in 2021 as a used, one owner, southern, garaged, well-maintained vehicle with relatively low miles. My car is loaded with extras and originally listed in 2010 for over $96,000. I purchased for under $15,000 and am thrilled with the vehicle. The styling is gorgeous, has nice power even though the torque right off the line is a bit sluggish and sport mode is just ok. Lets just say its a very comfortable sporty car. Interior is room enough for my 62 frame and the sport seats in mine are extremely comfortable (I immediately took 1,100 mile two day trip). NO room in back seats though. I admit a rag top versus the disappearing hard tops of other comparable vehicles is a bit old school, but when its down it doesnt matter! Heads up display, interior dash, etc are all excellent and very intuitive. One exception...the wiper control stem with all the indicators is completely obscured from your vision by the steering wheel while driving but it only took me a short amount of time to figure the commands out without looking .Jan 26, 2021

The cars features are exactly what Id expected and more. The value of the car was a lot cheaper than what I expected. The only thing that the car is missing is Bluetooth so Im going to go and buy an adapter for my phone that will transmit through the cars sound system. There are no other models that I would prefer over the BMW 6 Series!!!

There is nothing to dislike about this car. There are so many things one can do to make this car unique from all the others. By far, a much better body style than the newer models. Only thing I wish that came standard was a backup camera, which is why I had one professionally installed that works great.Apr 18, 2015

BMW's 6 series convertible monster produce 360HP and 360lb-torque. Amazing handling, steering wheel and gear ratio. Unique Head-up Display menu and night vision give you better control on night drives. Only missing thing about this car is rear sitting space.Nov 13, 2014

I've always wanted to own a 6 series. After test driving one, I was sold. I couldn't believe how well it drove and how quick it was off the line. Gas mileage was great on it for a sports coupe. I normally got around 430 miles in the city on a tank of gas. Aug 02, 2014

I love this car! Lots of power, to be as heavy as it is; surprisingly nimble. I would recommend this car to any of my friends. It is the sports car for the executive crowd. Lots of luxury, but at the same time will give you a kick in the pants every time you press the pedal down.Sep 03, 2012

Wonderful, fun car. Bias the road feel that BMW is known for, with sexy styling, power, and innovative technology. BWM has come a long way since I owned a 1970 2002, but I've grown up as well. This car is a sheer pleasure to drive. Mar 09, 2012

I love the way it drives. It's powerful and has excellent road manners both on the highway and around town. I had forgotten just how much fun BMWs are to drive. It's very different from the 500CL that I replaced; sportier. It's unlike my 911; softer. It's nothing like my Ferrari; quieter.
Initially I had a difficult time getting used to the I-Drive system. Once I mastered it, it got better. It's still complicated to make some minor adjustments but it's not as terrible as many say. I'll never understand why manufacturers went to run-flat tires. This car would ride and handle even better without run-flats. I'd install them but there's no room for a spare tire.
It's simply a great value for your automotive dollar.Feb 13, 2012

Ever since the E24, BMW's 6 series line has almost been forgotten until it was reinvented in 2004. With the newly designed exterior matched to a gracious interior, it is much less disappointing than the same-year Bangle-styled 7 series. Just like any BMW, it drives and handles like an extension of your arm and your leg, even for such a big and heavy coupe. It comes w/ the same V8 engine found in the much heavier 745Li, which screams 325 horses and 330 lb-ft of torque, enough power to get you speeding tickets w/o even noticing, while having decent gas mileage for a V8 (~18mpg city and 21mph hwy). The exterior styling is elegant and classy; where as the interior is also made of high-quality material. It is definitely a sleeper. Long road trip are very comfortable (for front seat passengers); the backseat, of course, for a coupe, is not designed for large adults. So unless you have skinny/short friends, don't expect to seat them in the rear comfortably (that's why us coupe owners won't get asked to drive when we're carpooling in long road-trips right?). Overall, this is a fabulous grand tourer that turns heads.Jan 24, 2012

I have the 645 Ci and bottom line, it is really an amazing car to drive. Absolutely love the way it handles, accelerates very quickly, interior noise is minimal, and the bells and whistles that BMW offers are pretty limitless. BMW offers this model in a convertible as well; however, I prefer the coupe due to the low roofline on the car. By opening the moonroof to show the full glass top, it opens up the feel of the interior...you don't have this option with the CiC.Jun 03, 2011

It is actually a 1985 635csi for some reason they do not list it so I had to list as a 2008 650i.
It is getting a freshen up this winter fixing some small rust issues, still one of the most fun cars I have owned or driven even for being a 24 year old car.

Great car and worth the enormous price tag. I bought the M series and then completely customized the exterior, but the M series interior was too well done to touch. I test drove the 650i and it was nothing short of outstanding, but I would not settle for anything less then the M series. If the cash is there I would definitly recommend the M6 for anyone in a mid life crisis (lol), or for a fast and luxurious car that defines BMW on all levels. May 30, 2008

Beautifully designed BMW. I loved it from the first moment I saw it.
I got the chance of driving in a BMW 645ci and I must say it really overwhelmed me. The
engine is a pure masterpiece, delivering 333bhp and the well-known BMW sound.
It's expensive and has a BMW-style option list, but it's definately worth every euro!Mar 26, 2008

I can actually say I do miss this car! Once I upgraded the suspension the handling was more like a 3 series car aka Big Go Cart basically! I also got greeat gas mileage out of the 5 speed transmission equipped 6er considering it has a 3.5l Inline 6. Much lighter, much better handeling, and more readily available parts then for my current Jaguar. You get thumbs up and people stopping you all the time, like what is that car, oh wow a BMW 6 series, WOW not seen one of those in years! True exclusivity without the LAmbo, Ferrari, Benz, Maserati, Prices. There is also still lots of sftermarket support and you can easily retorfit the car with a turbocharger from the Euro 745i period specific turbo car as it just swaps right over for supercar performance. Room is also good for taller drivers like I am, but rear seat room is truely only good for children or small adults under 6' tall. I still HIGHLY recommedn one of these as long as it is not a rust prone freak. Make sure to look for no rust on the rear wheel arches, rocker panels, and no under side rust especially near the floor board vent holes (Typical rust Spots on these cars!). Great car also for Drifting, track racing, or a daily driver. I got 20mpg in town in my 5-speed car, although had upgraded injectors and adjustable Fuel pressure Regulator Two great upgrades, and a performance chip from Dinan.Mar 05, 2008
