Destined to be a collectible, particularly the M brand. The European models and other foreign market models all had larger motors and smaller bumpers than the US models . Get yours now!

I haven't even licensed it yet, so reviewing it now isn't really possible. I love how
it
looks though. Some great pictures soon to come.
The color is Cirrusblau Metallic.
The engine received new ignition system parts and starter. The suspension
was completely renewed: springs, shocks, all bushings, control arms, tie rods
and center link. The SLS system was removed and mild lowering springs were
installed to give the car the right stance. New wheels and tires were installed.
The brakes were completely renewed and upgraded from the master cylinder
to the wheels, including larger rotors and calipers. The drivetrain was renewed
with a new driveshaft and upgraded with at 4.10 LSD differential. New fluids and
filters were used throughout.Mar 18, 2013

A truly great car to just get into and drive. I have driven this car throughout the Rockies without any trouble and for a large Turbo 6 cylinder it gets surpirisingly good fuel economy. If you ever run across a nice example of these classic Bimmers don't hesitate to pick it up if it looks like its been cared for.Feb 22, 2012

i cant drive this car enough, i frequently listen to the motor and not the radio. newer cars will regularly try to race me but they are left eating a good amount of my dust. the body style is classic and recognizable at any distance, its sharked out nose and long frame scream "fast class" while the inside assumes you dont know what fast is. luxury really comes together with speed in this classic bmwJan 14, 2012

What it lacks in horsepower it makes up for in its unique styling and dependability. With only 180 horsepower in the American models, acceleration lacks excitement. I do however continue to be amazed with the build quality of this car. 24 years old and 130,000 miles and it doesn't have but one or two rattles in the whole car. The old M30 engine runs like a top needing only maintenance and some TLC. Overall I really enjoy this car because it's like a nice suit. You just feel different when you get in.Dec 05, 2010

my favorite out of the 57 BMWs ive had. i cant walk away without having one last glance at it. 140mph 1n 1990 but i never took it over 120mph.it had toys that new cars today dont have. it cost me £17,500 (£21,000 =paid £3.5k for car) in the 14 months i had it new engine gearbox x 4 -wings were £1000 each! sold it for £1200 to kid in ireland so i wouldnt have to see it again , owned another one since but it wasnt the same as this rare hiline version.love the looks hated the ferrari running costs.Aug 28, 2010

this car is a very aggressive looking german style car if you don't push the
limits of what she is designed for, you are cool but if you do... you are in
trouble only week part is the electronic injection made by bosh and the
rear axle is not perfect it loosens its bolts very easily if you don't look
after it properlyAug 26, 2010

Another childhood dream car...retailed for about as much as a small house back in the decade of the Yuppie and bold suspenders.
Build quality is typical 80's BMW...rock solid and designed with servicing in mind (versus today's Bimmers that are essentially disposable commodities). Leather is thick and vat dyed. Luxury features abound.
Fuel consumption (with 5 speed) is reasonable (under 10L/100 km), but greatly effected by driving style. Basic Bosch engine management system needs Dinan chip to "wake it up".
An entertaining Grand Touring coupe dating back to 1976 and the last of the elegant BMWs. Get rid of the Michelin TRX metric size tires for better grip and handling. BBS Style 5 rims are the most appropriate period upgrade. Aug 06, 2010

BMW, before they were hyper-concerned with the American market, built cars in a certain fashion, and to hell with everyone else. Thus, the e24 633csi has terrible gearing for takeoff, although it's a super highway car. The automatic transmission changes the character of this vehicle to that of a boulevard car, rather than something that can be tossed around. That being said, the 633csi is a lovely piece of Paul Braq's work.Apr 21, 2010

Build Quality: Under restoration
Car Comparisons: E31. The E24 was cheaper, more readily available with a
manual transmission, despite the rarity of the manual highline
models, and the I6 is much easier to maintain and work on
than the V12 in the E31.
Performance: Hasn't been there yet. Still some safety related repair work
to be doApr 13, 2010
