There's nothing too great or too terrible about this vehicle. I love her! When she finally does quit, I will definitely cry. This car was a great price, and the fuel economy makes it so she's basically buying herself! I'm now a Honda fan!Mar 16, 2014

The look of this car is classic 90's with the boxy body and old school headlights and the interior matches this older style. My accord is fully loaded with working A/C power locks and power windows, cruise control and auto. Everything is working exceptionally well. The visibility from the drivers seat is superb and makes for easy parking and lane changes. Fuel consumption is modest and exceeds expectations on highway commutes. This is a fun car to drive, handles well and breaks well. I would recommend this car as a great safe daily driver!Feb 14, 2013

Very torquey motor on this car, especially with the five-speed manual transmission.
Tons of space for both passengers and cargo, although fuel economy isn't quite
what I'm used to, coming from the under 2 liter powered cars. Fantastic family car.Dec 12, 2012

Good Build quality, purchased off an older guy, who had it since about '98 or '99..
Runs Great, decent on gas, Very Impressive Power for a car of it's size. Doesn't handle great, but i attribute that to the tires i have at the moment.
the 2.2 is a great motor, bullet-proof in my opinion.
Power window motors are a known problem. My drivers door is slow, and needs to be guided at the top sometimes.
Speakers are well placed, although i added an aftermarket deck and infinity speakers; 4x6 fronts, and 6.5 Rears.Aug 08, 2012

LOVE IT, Sporty Honda Accord with a 5 spd transmission, fast, runs good, drives smooth and have not had any problems, handles good on wet roads. The body kit and 18" rims really make this car look sporty. Good car.Jul 21, 2012

This is the second 93 accord that i have own they are really nice cars for a small family and pretty realiable. Mine has three hundred thousand miles on it so there is small things that go wrong but the motor and tranny which is original to the car are very strong. Even with that many miles on it i still get 33 mpg's which is competitive with bran new cars Oct 06, 2011

The acceleration is adequate but nothing special. Honda built it strong which is why it has lasted so many years. It was designed well for its generation. It is efficient on fuel so maintaining the cost is low. I wouldn't say it is "fun" to drive but it definitely gets you to point "A" to point "B" economically! Jul 13, 2011

The 1996 Honda Accord is an exceptionally reliable vehicle with a very low cost of ownership. With currently over 170,000 miles, it runs beautifully. However, without the VTEC engine, this car does not pick up as quick as responsively as many drivers may want. The styling is wonderful with a design that does not look outdated at all despite it being a 14 year old vehicle. Apr 24, 2010

Performance - V-TEC engine = mean, however too heavy
to be competitive with the sedans but will smoke almost
any other wagon which isnt turbocharged (such as caldina
GTT or WRX)
Build Quality - Honda build quality, unbeatable amongst
imports, engine invincible...
Appearance - Not great, however any attempts to
improve in the form of kits/rims etc. result in it looking even
worse, vulnerable to dents on corner guards, looks good
with roof racks with the foam...
Cost - Awesome value for money ($3k on trademe
w/120kms) will go forever
Fun Factor - Got enough gak to suprise and impress
friends, plus plenty of room for the mates...awesome
designated drivers car

Excellent reliability, great gas mileage, and few repairs. Honda continues to provide excellent vehicles at excellent prices that have durability that far exceeds its American competitors. Couple this with excellent fuel standards and sleek designs and you can understand why Honda has one of the highest rates of non-employee repeat business.Oct 27, 2009

this car will run forever with regular maintenance! 321k miles so far! never had a problem with anything major, just do the oil changes and timeing belt every 90k miles and it will run forever, it is prone to rust on the rear quarter panels.Oct 25, 2009

This is the greatest car ever. Such great acceleration, I can go 110 in this thing as if it was nothing. It is cheap to maintain, and such a freaking blast to drive! The braking is great, I can handle turns like no other. The engineering in this car was magnificent. This car is also known as the CB7 generation accord. It is great on gas, yet it gives you the power of the honda engine. Torque, my goodness the torque!!Oct 03, 2009

Performance- It wasn't exactly what I'd call quick, but it was a lot of fun to drive. It took corners like a champ, excellent steering feel, but the transmission was jerky like most Honda autos. The brakes were also kinda weak, too. But I guess that's what happens when you don't get the awesome 5-speed Honda transmission. I wouldn't describe this car as soulless. You know, like a Camry.
Build Quality- Like any other Honda, it's great. I LOVED the interior. It was so comfortable, it was held together very well, and I just loved the red. You don't see shag-a-dellic interiors like that anymore. There was nothing hanging off or rattling around except for the almost useless cupholder. Mechanically, the car was rock solid. Not one hiccup. The only thing that annoyed me was when you start it up cold and put it in Drive, you have to STAND on the brakes to keep it still because it idles high. Apparently, this is common with Accords of this vintage.
Appearance- As I've already said, the interior is great. But the exterior was very handsome. My particular Accord had dings, dents, scratches, marks and all that good stuff on EVERY panel, and the normal 3/4 panel rot like on every '90s Honda around here, but the styling itself is handsome. I miss the old Honda design language--simple, understated, but very handsome. Their cars from the '90s have aged very well. The '90-'93 Accords are my second favorite Accords (No. 1 favorite is the '06-'07).
Cost of Ownership- I've only had it for a few months, which were in the winter, so the gas mileage sucked. I topped out with 23 MPG combined, and bottomed out at 19. Again, it's the price you pay for not getting the beautifully-engineered Honda 5-speed. But other than that, it was flawless.
Fun to drive? Oh yeah. It would have been even more fun if it were a standard though. But, hey, I got it for $500 and it was my first car.Sep 02, 2009

Performance: Its ok, its a family car not a race car
Build Quality: Its a Honda
Appearance: It looks good for being 15 years old, needs a little touch up.
Cost of Ownership: Not to bad... Only had to replace the Exhaust so far, next are the breaks.
Fun Factor: Was high when my exhaust made a ton of noise, now.... It has no guts so its pretty low.Aug 22, 2009

Understated beauty when well taken care of and not riced out. Build and layout is typically Honda. Easy to operate, very thought well thought out. although only an i4, it is pretty fun to drive. This car has seen it all!Jul 07, 2009

It is not the best performing speed wise but dependable...220,000mi and counting. If you throw a turbo in it is will be faster. Parts are always availible and priced accordingly. 25-30mpg avg. can be pushed and driven hard. Great carMay 18, 2009

It was very modern for its time. currently the car has several performance mods. It has very good acceleration and being a five speed has a sporty feel. there is plenty of room and it is comfortable. these cars never die as mine has 187000 miles and runs like new. Oct 07, 2008

I have a 2.3iSR Accord and it's brilliant!
Performance is great and it's fantastic fun to drive. It's not pretty to look at but once I'm inside (sitting in the leather seat, trying to decide whether to put on the air conditioning or open the slide/tilt sunroof!) and on the road I don't care about that.
Petrol consumption is high if I drive at high revs but ok if I'm more 'sedate' with my driving.
Only downside is cost of repairs - I've just been quoted £400 for a new exhaust.
Would definitely recommend this car, it will have your fun dials turned up to eleven!Jul 21, 2008

When I walked onto the dealer's lot almost eight months ago and saw this beautiful accord, I almost immediately fell in love. The seats were deliciously comfortable in the front and back, the trunk was massive, it had power everything, a CD player, power antenna, ABS, alloy wheels, and a beautiful appearance.
The test drive was flawless, we took it fast around some backroads, tested out the brakes, inspected the CV joints, brake pads, and all under-hood fluids and filters. Everything was in fantastic shape. The brakes were hard and responsive, it accelerated pretty quick, I timed a 0-60 in about 7.6 secs.
All of this with how many miles on the odometer? 186,000. I bought it that day for $3750 and have never regretted my decision to do so since. Now 10,000 miles later, four 600-mile road trips, and a few snorstorms, it's still flawless. These Accords are built like tanks. My mom had a '90 (same style) that served for many years and many miles (well over 200,000)
No one else makes a car like Honda does. Thanks you guys! I love my Accord!Jun 28, 2008

Car is excellent in every way, driving, handling, design etc.
Car has a great engine with a potent kick to it. The 1993 Honda Accord is the LOWEST accord out there, stock. Car has excellent handling, turning, handling at high speeds, the car does not shake like other cars when going 100mph +Jun 26, 2008
