I really enjoyed having the Santa Fe for the past 10 years. It never steered me wrong. Very dependable, easy to maintain and keep clean and still drives and looks like new today. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a dependable and safe suv for all seasons.Nov 14, 2014

Nice SUV, holds up well and with regular maintanence should last well over 200,000 miles. Currentl have about 110,000 miles with only one major issue, the failure of the throtle body. If Hyundai continues to build cars/suvs as this 2003 Santa-Fe I will consider a newer modle when it's time to trade/buy.Nov 08, 2014

If u have a kid that's going to college or an everyday commute car and luxury is not a priority, this is it! Good on gas and reliable. Just maintain it properly like every other car and you are good to go.Mar 05, 2014

A very inexpensive SUV with a very good gas mileage for this class and equipped with a powerful engine (3,5l). A good family car with low cost of maintenance and fun to drive for long trips. A great car for SUV.Oct 08, 2013

I've owned my 2005 Santa Fe for 5 years and have loved it the entire time. It's been perfect for our family of 4 for vacations and around town travel. We've never had a single problem that I didn't create myself by breaking a metal piece off of it. It's done well in the snow, rain, etc. Jun 19, 2013

This car has served me well. It gets great gas mileage and has good pick-up. The front seats are adjustable and very comfortable. The hitch is attached and strong. The sunroof is large and the side windows are lightly tinted. May 17, 2013

Great car. Performs well in almost every driving condition (including snow) and has great comfort and interior space. I've never broken down in it and have had minimum maintenance work done. The stock stereo system is great as well as the car's cabin noise (which is minimal). All of these great features still cannot beat the fuel sipping 4cyl engine that still gets 26mpg at 110000miles. In short, GREAT CAR.Feb 19, 2013

Love the car. It's easy on gas and the wallet! This car starts and runs strong every time. Oil changes are easy and cheap! Tires are decently priced. The brake job was under $400. The sound system in it is awesome! Jun 28, 2012

Really liked the look, the options, the performance and handling. All makes for a comfortable and fun drive! No repairs and usual maintenance makes it very affordable. Can handle quite a bit of cargo with folding seats and the rear cargo area.May 07, 2012

Since my husband bought this vehicle in 2002, I think he's only had to do the regular maintenance on it. Nothings ever broken, just the normal wear and tear. I don't know a whole lot because my husband won't let me drive it! It's his only, apparently. lolFeb 03, 2012

The Santa Fe is a good-looking and versatile vehicle due to off-road height, curvaeous design and storage capacity, including a roof rack. The stereo system is excellent. The sun roof opens completely or partially.
The steering and braking are excellent. Insurance costs are low as well.Dec 21, 2011

Good, not great, accelleration. Excellent braking and handling. It has not needed and repairs, with no squeaks or rattles. Alittle nosiy on the freeway. Looked fantatisic and was fun to drive. Mileage was great for an SUV at around 20-21 mpg. Very low maintenance. Mar 19, 2011

Its a good car all around. I bought lo in 2003 and i haven't had a problem since. I recommend this car to
anyone who wants an affordable, reliable and

car, look elsewhere.Jun 23, 2009

If you can get by the quirky styling (which grows on you after a while) this is a very good daily driver and a solid vehicle. The handling is crisp for an SUV and it has decent power. The AWD system is fair and the car can handle moderate off roading if the stock tires are replaced with more aggressive ones. The options are very nice, the Monsoon sound system is great and the heated mirrors and seats are great in the winter. The build quality seems solid, I'm approaching 90K miles and haven't needed many repairs beypnd normal wear items.Sep 11, 2008

I like the car a lot! The only problems are that you're Air Conditioning is bound to break. Also, the Alternator is on the bottom of the car. This is no big deal unless you live near the beach. I live in Hawaii so of course I have to drive through salt water puddles sometimes. Doing this, however, will and did fry the Alternator. Fresh water, no problem, salt water will do it though. Other than that, it has been very reliable, it looks great, and it accelerates quickly with the sport shift. It's a great car to win over the person who was never too keen on SUV's. Also, the price is great. I bought a 2002 model in 2005 with 60K miles and I bought it from a dealer for about 10,500.Sep 02, 2008

Well made. Engine is very quiet, and the computer controlled 4WD comes in handy during heavy rain. Fuel mileage is very good, as well as the acceleration, even when carrying cargo. The SUV is very fun to drive, and is low maintenance. I feel very safe driving this vehicle. Thumbs Up. Aug 29, 2008

.The Hyundai Santa Fe drives well on and off paved roads. It's an inexpensive, compact sport-utility with a tall seating position and generous cargo capacity. Its curvaceous body looks friendly, yet ready for the outdoors. All of this belies the Santa Fe's car-like ride and handling. Apr 25, 2008
