I liked everything about this car. Its looks, the way it drives, the spacious front and back.

Once you've driven this car it is really hard to drive other cars. As a mid-size car there aren't too many cars that can compete with the power and handling of the Audi A6. It's a great car for road trips and general driving. It has deceptive power and smoothness, and I always feel safe driving this car.Nov 25, 2014

I like everything about this car EXCEPT the price of maintenance. So far my car has been in the shop twice for MAJOR repairs that have cost in the thousands. Unfortunately I will not be buying another Audi in the future.Apr 08, 2014

Great car. Quattro is excellent in snow/slop, 2.8 power/acceleration is adequate (not enough to get into trouble, plenty to get out of the way), handling & ride are great even after 13 years. Updated with 18" RS4 rims, looks great.Dec 01, 2013

Great daily driver. A little hard on gas but very reliable and safe. Quattro gets me to work in any weather. I was a Honda man for years but purchased a Volkswagen Passat (essentially an Audi) some years back and was turned onto audi. If you are mechanically inclined at all don't be afraid of an older audi with some miles on it.Jun 10, 2013

Great Car when maintained properly and cared for. Excellent for all seasons. Not that many problems, but it is only getting older and parts will have to be replaced. Excellent first car and cannot go wrong. Pushes strong and will stay like that.Feb 26, 2013

Lots of interior room. Great pickup even at high speed thanks to the Bi-turbo. Rides smooth. Luxury car with the heart of a race car. Fun to drive even with the kids in the back seat. Premium sound system is great as well. Sep 18, 2012

Six speed manual shift may not be everyones cup of tea. I always felt in complete control in this car. For long haul highway driving I don't believe that you could find anything better. I have never had a car that maintained its appearance as well as this one. I feel that I am driving a new car.Aug 07, 2012

There is nothing like a German made vehicle. Japanese made cars can't compare. This car handles the road like a race car would. The acceleration is so smooth when entering a highway. It's an awesome car and fun to drive. The body of the car is heavier than that of a Honda or a Toyota. This model Audi was made for 3 years only and I've had no problem with it. Jan 25, 2011

I love my 2002 A6 2.7. Paid cash. Wise choice. Excellent drive and the car responds to what I want it to do. Handles awsome. Try the ESP when going around a sharp curve and dust those Mercedes and Beemers (provided you have premimum tires)Oct 20, 2010

I love this car. Best car i have owned to date. Great car to drive around town and very comfortable for long road trips. Car has plenty of power and loves to go fast, and believe me it does. The handling is phenominal and takes corners like a champ. The interior quality is second to none for cars of that year and comes loaded with plenty of features to make drving fun and easy.Sep 24, 2010

The A6 is a very quiet and comfortable vehicle - especially at highway speeds. It is well equipped with full leather, sunroof, power seats/windows/mirrors. The handling is surprisingly good given the relatively soft and slightly under-damped ride. Build quality is exceptional and even with 150,000 miles the car is very tight. The Bose audio system produces superb sound throughout the vehicle, and is very easy to operate. Performance is adequate, but it is by no means a fast car.May 29, 2010

was actually a 1.8T but they didnt have it lol, what an
awesome car! truely amazing, quick as hell, awesome build
quailty, quiet, comfy, rather uneconomical, did about 30 mpg,
had the sport model so it was lowered, bigger brakes, sport
exhaust system... handled beautifully Jan 17, 2010

Stock body, would look nicer with bigger rims and even lower. Performance wise it is great, you can definitely feel the boost the 2 turbos is giving the engine. This car is fun to drive as is and relatively cheap. Interior design was well thought of by the German designers.Dec 24, 2009

Owned for three years No problems except computer
malfunction replaced through extended warranty. As a 6 speed
manual 2.7T the car is fast and responsive. The design is the
best and the finish is Audi first class. Cost of ownership and gas
milage is reasonable for a car of this caliber. While fun to drive
it is not as direct in response as my previous WRX Oct 08, 2009

325hp stock, German auto has never let me down. IMMACULATE condition especially for an 01. The cars handling outweights its power with AWD QUATTRO steering. The only things i had put into the car are smoked out tints and taillights plus a full intake. Audi knows how to make cars, well.Jul 13, 2009

Great looks, ride, handling, traction in wet or snowy conditions. The car is built so well, both inside and out. The materials, fit and finish, and realibility have been excellent. Service is not cheap, but I have needed very little of it luckily. Hard to think of what I don't like....uh...somewhat heavy steering due to all wheel drive; power is good but not mind-blowing by any means....that's about it. Oh, and the gas mileage is just so-so....averages 18.3.Sep 30, 2008

The 2.7L Biturbo V6 is an outstanding motor! With 250HP to start with, this car is very smooth and deceiving. Add a performace chip and it's a force to be reckoned with on the roads. The interior is of the best I've ever owned and it definitely ranks equal to most MB and BMWs of the same class. This car is loaded with features. Not just simple features either, features that most other cars won't have for another 5-7 years from this car's build date. Gas mileage is good (20-23MPG) with mixed driving. You can get 400 miles from a full tank. As for cost or ownership, these cars are rather expensive when it comes to repairs. I do them myself but, it's not uncommon for a dealership service labor rate to exceed $100 per/hr.
Overall, it's a solid and reliable car with some of the best features and finishes around. Jul 03, 2008

Because of the small engine, acceleration is not very good but it´s enough. Handling is one of the best sides of Audi A6. Build quality was positive surprise. Nothing to complain so far. Interior in -00 A6 is very nice. It is simple and practical but also good looking. This car is very roomy, especially back seats are great. 1.8-20v engine without turbo is too small of course but in the other hand it doesn´t consume that much. It is something like 8.9 litres per 100 km approx. Maintenance costs are much more lower than in my past Mercedes w124. This Audi is a very good car. It´s a lot of car for the money. Jul 02, 2008

Even though I haven't driven an A6 with European specifications, I find that the model sold in Asian markets (more specifically Malaysia) are toned down models of the original Audi A6.
When this model was released there, the only options avalaible was the 1.8T and the 2.4 models. This makes the car feels slightly underpowered and heavy. The 1.8T model scored a figure of 120 hp on whells on a conducted dyno test. Even though i did not managed to get a torque value due to technical complications, the car did manage to score good points on throttle response. The car showed good response from 0-100 hp on the dyno test.
The 6 speed multitronic CVT transmission on this particular model can be a let down if you looking at driving the car aggresively. The shifting on the gears (on shiftronic/multitronic modes) are rather slow as compared the BMW 523i model of that current year. On the plus side, the transmission does comes with a sports mode which allows the car to maintain optimum revs without the feel of gear shifts in the given mode.
Despite a slight blow to it's performance figures, the 2004 1.8t A6 is has relatively low fuel consumption and comfortable to drive in. The smaller engine of this version paired with it's transmission puts the A6 on par with the smaller, lighter 2005 1.7 Civic VTS. Besides that, the A6 is built sturdy and spacious. Along with Audi's great interior designs (espcially in black) the car is really comfortable to be in. Even the suspension is designed for comfort even if driving at speeds of around 120 km/h.
Despite it's sturdy design, the car comes with a good assortment of safety features. The main highlight of its safety features is that the car comes with ESP (electronic stability program) which works like an enhanced ABS (anti-lock brake system) and TCS (traction control system) systems. The A6 also comes with 6 air bags which adds to the security of the passangers when it comes to a car crash.
Overall, the 2004 1.8T Audi A6 is a good car to drive in. Despite the let down in its performance, the car makes up for it in its comfort, fuel economy, safety, and luxurios interior designs making this car a good run for the money. Apr 20, 2008

The A6 2.7T is an ordinary A6 that has received some styling flairs and a more powerful engine. The seemingly luxurious sedan weighs about 2 tons, but that doesn't stop it from being a pleasing car to drive. The power source is a 2.7 liter V6. Not an especially impressive figure. The Audi's true party pieces are the two turbochargers stuck on the V6, making a respectable 280 hp. The amount of boost is truly incredible. Putting your foot down results in a short pause, and then a surge of torque that propels you to 60 mph in about 5.8 seconds. In order to fully enjoy this car, you have to ignore the automatic transmission mode and use the Tiptronic sequential manual mode, where you are in control of the gearshifts. Driving in automatic mode takes so much away from the experience. There is not very much power steering which adds to the sportiness, but the steering is a bit oily, a common thing in Audis. The permanent all wheel drive gives you tons of grip and more traction in the winter, but compared to a BMW with rear wheel drive, the Audi doesn't really feel like a sports car in the corners. The car is not exactly economic either. It struggled to average 20 mpg. But all in all, if you drive this car every day, you don't notice all the downsides at all. It quickly becomes one of your favorite cars and you can't help but have fun with it.Feb 13, 2008
