The Prius V is roomy for driver and passengers. It controls were easy to use. I had a little difficulty seeing the fuel gauge, but other displays were highly visible even set off to the middle of the dash. Driving was smooth and the power mode overcomes any of the models ordinary sluggishness in acceleration.Jul 18, 2024

Had a 2012 Prius V 3, got the 2017 Prius V 5 with all the bells and whistles. Car has more power, is quieter and has many new features. I love it.Apr 13, 2024

No one who owns a Prius v wants to let go of it because it’s very reliable, comparatively inexpensive to maintain and as a hybrid delivers excellent mileage. Apr 17, 2023

Terrific car. It has all the bells and whistles we need. Road noise is bothersome but easily dealt with with some sound insulation. Mileage is great. More room inside than the outside would indicate. Wish they still made them.!Apr 11, 2023

This is our second Prius V, the first having been totaled in an accident. The Prius V gets great mileage - over 40mpg, has a quiet and comfortable ride, decent handling, excellent durability and reliability, and best-in-class load carrying capacity. Controls are well thought out and mainly intuitive.Feb 20, 2023

We really like it. Its a larger and newer version of the Prius. We have a 2005 Prius thats still running strong and after a lot of research, we decided that a larger version would be a great fit for our family. It rides really smoothly, handles well, has decent enough acceleration, good storage, and gets amazing gas mileage for the amount of cargo you can haul. Its a great family car!Mar 22, 2022

It’s unique in that it has plenty of room , much more than regular Prius, great mileage, quality interior, looks good and plenty of acceleration when needed, price I believe was a good value , 2 year drive train warranty included and checklist of 200 inspection points - only 55,000 milesJan 22, 2022

I went from a 2006 Prius to the 2012 Prius V. The ride in the V is smoother, quieter, vehicle feels heavier, more grounded. Cargo space is larger. The back seats move forward and back separately and also recline. Even though the back side windows are more streamlined, the mirrors accommodate and the visibility is good. The 2012 V with opt pkg 2 had the features most important to me: b/u camera, Bluetooth, cloth seats and smart key. The smart key feature was confusing when shopping. Key-less entry is not the same as smart key, although they are often used interchangeably in vehicle descriptions. Smart key has a chip in the door handle which allows the doors to be locked/unlocked without having the key in hand. On my opt pkg 2 only the drivers door has this chip, while my old Prius had chips in the 2 front doors and in the back hatch handle. A slight inconvenience but not a deal-breaker. One of the first things I did was change the door lock setting so that all doors unlock simultaneously. I imagine the default is to have only the drivers door unlock for safety reasons, but it is a source of frustration for me. I am very happy with my purchase, love my Prius V. Thanks CarGurus for helping me shop from home.Jun 16, 2020

We love the Entune paired up with our iPhones. Everything we want is available right on the car's navigation screen; Movies, Fuel Prices, Contact List, Pandora, Traffic alerts, and it is intuitive to learn. Sirius radio and HD stations make beautiful clear sound. Fuel efficiency - our first tank around town yielded 47.9 mpg, and a trip to Miami at 68-70 mph resulted in 41.4 mpg, both better than the EPA ratings. (We are pretty gentle with the accelerator, but we do drive the speed limits.) in the past 4 months of driving, we improved on those numbers considerably. You have to check out this car before buying anything else.Jan 23, 2013

Although the Prius V is technically a "station wagon" it certainly does not look like one. It comes off looking more like a smaller SUV or a Crossover. The design is so sleek and suburban that you really don't need to have a family to own this car. I'm a 26-year old and I use this car to pack friends in for a night out and to haul groceries back home. The cargo space is definitely bigger than some of my families' smaller SUVs. The drive is smooth and quiet. Gas mileage is fantastic - I get anywhere from 44 mpg to 56 mpg on the highway. I definitely feel in control when I drive in the city or on the highway. I love my Prius V!Jul 10, 2012
