What owners say
"Overall, drivers really like the 2012 Toyota Tundra for its reliability, power, and spacious interior. Many appreciate its value for money, particularly in regard to its performance and capability. However, some have noted downsides such as poor gas mileage and the lack of modern features like a backup camera and updated sound systems."
This was my second Toyota Tundra Limited truck. My first was a 2007 Limited TRD DoubleCab Tundra- it was great, very reliable, very fast and fun to drive, and always left me with a feeling that I got something good for my money. This second Tundra is of the CrewMax body-style, but still with the Limited trim-level, TRD options, and various other upgrades. The 2012 Tundra has also been a great vehicle. The CrewMax body-style has a huge amount of room behind the front-seats. The rear-seats fold, so there's the capability of using that huge space for cargo, as well as people. These trucks are very quick, respond right away, and never give the driver the feeling that they aren't getting enough power to the ground. Switching to two-wheel-drive via the dash-knob allows for even better handling and responsiveness, in my opinion, also. The Tundra is a great truck! Also, this truck is easy to live with and park, particularly with its relatively compact turning-circle.
April 16, 2014Only have had the 2012 crew max 5.7 for 5 days but I can’t say enough about it. I love this truck. Lots of power (381 horsepower). Lots of room ( biggest half ton crew cab on the market ). Very comfortable. The only negative is the factory radio /cd player is a static box. Other than that I very much recommend this truck.
October 8, 2021Tundras are solid dependable no nonsense trucks. Gas mileage is poor compared to other half tons, but you won’t have the repair bills either.

January 29, 2021You can’t go wrong with a 2nd gen tundra. Toyota has proven time and time again that they build quality and reliable vehicles . I’m trying to make mine a million mile tundra as well.
February 24, 2023Love the body style and features. Drives great and smooth ride.
January 31, 2022Good comfortable work truck. 8 bed is excellent for hauling, not to many frills but that is good for me. New trucks are WAY to expensive! I think this one was a good value so far.
January 28, 2023Everything I want in a truck. With none of the extra electronic systems I didnt want. I mean its a Yoda, nuff said.
June 27, 2022Truck was a great value for year and mileage but missing the updated accessories like back up camera, wireless connectivity and monitor for me to seal the deal.
June 1, 2021I bought this truck because Consumer Reports recommended it. I have only had an issue with the driver's seat squeaking that Toyota fixed under warranty. Other than that it has performed very well and I would buy it again. Tow package, 4x4, giant cabin and plenty of power.
December 23, 2014I've had a couple of trucks and this one puts them all to shame. Most reliable and best looking truck. I had an 08 dodge ram before this one and from the time I bought it untill I got rid of it I put 64000 on it. The ac went out, the fr passenger side hub had to be replaced and the water pump went out on the dodge. The Toyota not one shop fee. Rides excellent!!!
