December 15, 2021While its clearly a Volvo, its a bit tougher Volvo. It rides just a bit higher, it has skid plates, and it feels just a bit stiffer, which I enjoy. Still a great Volvo ride and the feeling of being as about as safe as you can be and still be moving under power. Good throttle response, great brakes. Not at all wiggly. I love it!
November 10, 2021My previous 2 Volvos were turbocharged. My 2008 was not. That was the only thing I missed on my 2008. It was a V70 FWD. I drove it to 23100 Km when an engine part was to be changed. The cost with labor was around $1600 if things went right. The true situation could not be known until the work began. If it was another scenario, I would need a new motor block to the cost of $5000 to $9000. I don’t like to gamble, so I traded it in for a 2015.5 XC70 FWD.
September 4, 2021I have kids in lots of sports- this car was great for getting kids here and there and loading lots of gear in the back. For family trips, luggage and the dog could fit comfortably in the back. We could use the roof rack for extra storage.
April 4, 2013Love it!!! The V6 3.2 liter engine is smooth and drives nicely. Great safety features. The two built in booster seats are perfect. No car seats needed for kids (about 5 years old and above). Driving in snowy condition is no problem with the AWD.
August 31, 2009looks nice, new six cylender engine paired with halidex all wheel drive system is awesome, great exhaust sound [no more whine at high RPM!] volvo has come a long way since my 1995 850GLT
