I bought this as a commuter car -- and it's been super for that purpose. It's actually got a lot of head and leg room, and I don't feel cramped the way I did in the Corolla or even the Civic. I'd buy this car again in a heartbeat -- I've averaged between 32 and 38 mpg and while gas is cheap right now, it won't be for long.

Excellent acceleration (diesel engine), ABS and ESP in basic option. Good quality, nice design, but to much plastic for me. Gas mileage and maintenance are perfect - it cost me nothing ;-] It's realy nice to have this car ;-P

Great car. Got it new, and runs better than any car I have ever driven.

Great car for driving around town, commuting. Due to the two door model it's not going to be the family car! No major issues but easy to maintain. Stick Shift is fun to drive and handles well. Love Sync! Love the sporty looks but it has it's con's hard to fine all season tires in the size and at a good price, overall great car though.

This car is awesome. We bought it from my mom when she replaced her car last year and i couldnt have gotten a better car for my small family. we drive it alot, have over 175000 miles on it, and its still running strong.

Accelerates from 0-50 in first gear (That's always fun). Good brakes, decent handling. There is some creeking now and then, it's not exactly hand made, however I have not had a single problem yet, after 25,000 miles. It's a good looking a good looking car, and the interior is nice. Only bad thing about the interior is there is no light in the back so I had to put up a tap light ($10 fix, worth it :)). Great mileage, 24 mpg city, between 34-36 mpg highway, depending to road grade. It has a smaller gas tank however, so trips to the gas station are as often as with a lesser mileage car, So far no maintenance, I will have to replace the tires at the 30,000 mile tune up, which is sooner than expected. Fun car to drive! Handles windy backroads well. If youra driver in snow you can manage, however this car is so light that someone without snow experience shouldn't attempt to drive in snowy/icy conditions.

Really great car all around. Love the gas milage. Has a great look to it. I love the sync feature on the car. makes me able to use my cell phone without having to pull the phone out of the pocket.

I love this car because it has just enough performance for long journeys, The build quality is just fine. The style is superb especially the colour. We always have fun driving the Focus and it does not cost too much to run

I drive this CC2 with the roof off in all weathers but cannot hear or see the direction indicator dashboard lights, particularly in bright light. Needs reverse sensors and rear seat legroom is minimal behind me (6ft 2in) Otherwise it is brilliant

The good: Ford's Sync system gives the 2008 Focus SES one of the most sophisticated media and communications interfaces available. Freeway mileage is impressive. The bad: The Focus' interior borders on being drab, and its stereo suffers from a few usability niggles.

Having had an older Ford Focus just prior to this one, some of my expectations were particularly low. Whilst I was generally satisfied with the car, the 1.6L petrol engine lacked any real power, and the fuel economy left a lot to be desired when compared with the official figures. Fortunately, the decision to trade that one in for the newer model, and to make the switch to a 2L diesel with a 6-speed gearbox, addressed all the issues I had experienced with its predecessor, giving real over-taking power on the motorway, fuel economy in-line with official figures, and vastly improved handling courtesy of the Electronic Stability Program. Whilst the build and trim quality is no where near that of German rivals, it's still acceptable, with only a few occassional squeaks & rattles to complain about so far. Interiour and exterior styling is based on Ford's new 'kinetic design' and make the car quite nice to look at, and a pleasant place to sit in.

Looks like a ST and does 130 mph indicated at 5000 rpm Great handling Focus and Mazda 3 are the best front wheel drive handling cars I've driven especially at speed. Quality interior feel, sports suspension on 16 inch alloys and 205/ 60 tyres. Nice weight in the steering makes it feel like a smaller car.

This car is fun to drive, and with 33 mpg, you can drive a lot! Easy handling, very good, dependable car. If I could go back and choose a car again, it'd definitely be the Ford Focus! Spacious, easy to maintain, definitely worth the money!

I love my car to death. It's fun to drive, the Sync feature by Microsoft is awesome, it has a little bit of a sporty look to it.... I know it doesn't have the best performance but if your not looking for performance, look here.

Great suspension, huge space for a hatchback. The extrerior is well... OK. For a small car it's quite a thirsty little animal. Overall the Focus is a fun car to drive and at the same time gives you that boost whenever you need it.

this car is amazing. the traction is great! the style is great! it is classy and sporty, it is so fun to drive. and the stereo is really cleanand clear. the gas mileage is one of the most amazing parts about it! it gets almost 40 miles to the gallon of gas..

good gas mileage at ~35mpg, 140 hp, 136 ft./lbs, 5 speed manual, easy to modify with many possiblilties, will eventually turbo charge and add chassis and suspension upgrades, NO cosmetic upgrades because i want a sleeper, very fun to drive with just the right amount of power, i will refuse to make any "ricer" additions

It's just a decent little car. Acceleration is good. Sound is decent. Rides smoothly. Has a sharp look inside and out. And for the price, I don't think there is much out there that can rival it. It's fun to drive, and great on the pocket with today's gas prices.

Sync is awesome, pleasantly surprised with front interior room, I'm 6'3" 285 lbs and fit comfortably. Engine is peppy, and handling is tight but not to busy. I like the interior layout, and exterior styling.

i love the way it looks it a really cool green (kiwi green). it drives so smoothe compared to the neon i used to have and the gas milage is great!! the seats are also really confortable, when i drive people on long car ides the fall asleep sometimes.

its a great all around car. the reason i bought this car was for my 65 mile a day commute to work. the gas mileage is great. 34 plus and the ride quality is great. i would rec. this car to anyone who loves to drive

a really good ride and is comfortable also having a sporty engine is fun to drive the zetec has nice extras such as air con cd player alloy wheels and the colour is a nice ocean blue metallic it should havehad bluetooth incorporated with in the radio but a mistake was made by ford and did not come with it but it doesnt matter as the car makes up for this

The car is very spacious, Plenty of cup holders, easy to clean and keep clean. No problems with performance, but its not a race car so I am not beating on the poor thing. Yet it does pick up and go if you are in a hurry. Go take one for a test drive!! You will fall in love with it!! FYI saves tons of money when it comes to filling up with gas, gas lasts quiet awhile!!

Love this car, beautiful, powerful, Ford did its best when it came to this car. The new design just nailed it, very appealing. With the $4 gas prices about $50 to fill her up. It will last you for quite a while actually.

I am in the market for a new car and the focus was my first choice. I have previoussly owned a 93 Thunderbird and a 97 Taurus and when I test drove the Focus I was in heaven. I loved the steering and the brakes. The get up and go was more than I expected, and I love the look of the car. All of the Focus' I have looked at seem to be great in price. I can't wait to have this Focus in my posession!

I love the fact that ford was not shy to through some good products at the ST. Names like Mc pherson, brembo, recaro and many more. Ford also manage to get all this cool stuff to work well together. Well done

Probably the best handling C-class car on the market today. The only thing that stops it getting top honours is that it is only really cosmetically changed from its predecessor. Quality is better and at base level equipment levels are improved, but it’s not enough of a leap forwards from the original C307.

I like the car, it is very good in handling, good brakes, good acceleration. The interior appearance of the car is very good and also the front exterior appearance, but the back view of the car could be better. The only problem that i've found in the focus is that the maximum speed that i got is only 170 km/h although the max speed on the speed gauge is 240 km/h.

Very steady steering. Good quality inside and outside the car. Performance is enough for everyone in normal use. Low gas cost and no need special maintenance. Hell yeah! this car is real fun to drive:) Ford feel the difference really.

I am very used to a much larger engine in a car so going down to a four cylinder made a big difference in acceleration for me. Other than that, the car was a very wise choice. The interior and exterior stying exceded my expectations. Gas mileage is great on highways and it fun to drive.

The car is just astonishing! Marvelous handling, excellent acceleration granted by the Duratec 2.0 16V (147hp) engine. But you have to pay the price: 6km/l (14mpg) city / 9km/l (21mpg) highway. My is rather well equiped, since it is the Ghia version. Power everything (except pedals), sunroof, ABS, Double Air Bag (it isn't mandatory here in Brazil), leather upholstery, MP3 CD with satellite controls beside steering wheel. However, it is one generation behind the european Focus... We still have the MK 1 1/2.

This is the perfect cheap car! I have had several of these. A good car if you take care of them.

the acceleration isn't great, it takes alot to get it going the speed limit on the highway but it's great on gas and i love drivingg ittt. the interior is easy to clean and the lights are easy to reach. my brakes are just a little squeaky. the tires don't make too much noise.

This ride is kinda nice and gives the driver a sporty feeling. Hard suspension, noisy engine. Personally, i like it and plan on driving it for a few years.

Love this car to bits... The onlly "nag" that I have is that the seat belt reminder ticks me off!!! >:( Very cheap to run - averaging around 6.7L p/100km - not too shabby at all - with a bit o punch to boot...

Great car. Was really surprised when I test drove one. Bought one a few months later. Have to get the 5 spd. though. An automatic would make this care too boring. The care is a blast to drive. Handles great and is surprisingly quick for a 2.0L.

What a fun car to drive. It has great get-up and go for a little 4-banger. Microsoft Synch is a great addition and comes in very handy when I need to make a call while driving. The red paint is nicely done and the interior still smells like it's new. I'd recommend anyone looking for a compact car to check out the Focus.

fun and easy to drive, i drove the 1.6 titanum and its actualy quite responcive and handles well, untill you go over 30mph where it goes a bit tank like with the handeling, the driveing position and visebility is good and comftable for long drives/

Its not fast but it sounds pretty good. It gets sick gas mileage and has some cool things to play around with like the sync system that reads text messages and calls people though the speakers. It also has the 7 color ambient lighting. The interior is actually really sick but the outside exterior can get better.
