Ive also driven and LR4 (a 2012, I think) with a V8. They are awesome to drive. Ive only driven test-drives on-road. They handle quite well around town. Plus, you cant beat the solid feeling of these rigs. Youd think theyd feel top-heavy because they are so tall, but they are quite stable. The other surprising thing is how peppy they are from a stop--despite their monstrous curb-weight! These are much more truck-y than a Mercedes GL, say, since the interior is not as plush. However, I thought the tranny in the 2006 LR3 shifted much smoother than in my 2013 Mercedes GL450. The LR3 also has a very quiet interior--about like the Mercedes.Jan 31, 2022

Very roomy, and lots of space for 7 people AND both rear rows fold down flat for great cargo space Requires premium fuel, and loves to use it, but gas prices are half of what they used to be, soooDec 16, 2014

Gas mileage is so bad, tank full of gas gives around 225 miles which cost around $70. Its a heavy duty SUV but i'm not buying anymore of this. If you don't mind paying for gas, it is ok then. I have this SUV for almost 9 years and its ok vehicle.Jul 03, 2014
