Not too bad at all really. Plenty of power from a 5 cylinder diesel, turbo gives it enough accelaration for most situations, everything just seems to work if not in a dull and boring style, however its comfortable and seems to eat miles at reasonable consuption, 55mpg on a motorway run seems good compared to other large exec saloons and dispite the galactic mileage still seems as good as it was when i bought it 4 years agoApr 05, 2012

Real great. A bit costly parts though, but still a really handsome and safe car. It consumes alot of gas but I think it's worth it. The driving experience is really good and the view from the driver seat is excellent.Jun 26, 2009

We have owned our 2005 S80 for several years. My next car will be a Volvo. We have had zero problems with it. I bought it for it's safety. We went from an Expedition to a sedan. I wanted to make sure my family was safe. I got even more. The gas mileage is great. The service has been a piece of cake and it runs like new. I would recommend the S80 to anyone wanting a high end car. Apr 03, 2009
