2005 Scion xA Reviews, Pricing & Specs
What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2005 Scion xA find it to be a reliable and fun little car that's easy to handle, especially for city driving. They appreciate its good fuel economy, power for its size, and the convenience of features like fold-down seats for extra cargo space. On the downside, some drivers note the lack of comfort for long trips and a few issues with the camshaft system, but these do not overshadow their overall satisfaction with the car."
Overall I am pleased with the vehicle. The good fuel economy and low maintenance have made for low vehicle expenses. It is an easy vehicle to do the routine tune-up work on. It is a fun vehicle to drive and has a good stereo system. The only problem I had was with the camshaft system, which had some problems with seals and oil leakage. With the exception of repairing that, there have been no other repairs needed on the vehicle.
November 20, 2011I like everything about this car except its lack of comfort for long trips. I haven't driven it more than an hour one way on more than one occasion, but I am used to cruise control. The front seats have good lumbar support and the cup holders and other items all conveniently placed. The radio is nice! Great sound for an economy vehicle.
January 17, 2013This car has been a real reliable work horse for me for a decade now. I drive well over 400 miles a week and need to depend on a car to get me to work and back home and I can truely say I have absolutely no regrets about buying this XA...none! I don't think I would have been happy with the Automatic transmission ...with the 5 speed it really can get up and go when I need it to...well enough for me. The only reasons I own a car really are to get to work and get out to find places to explore and I have always been able to rely on this little bugger!

January 31, 2015It has great HP for a 4 CL and the 1.6L is not that bad; great MPG and I love how the seats fold down for more cargo space.
June 10, 2008It is a small (outside) car with low Hp, but still will get up and move... Easily modified... and very reliable
