What owners say
"Overall, drivers love the 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK for its stunning design, quality craftsmanship, and enjoyable driving experience. Many appreciate its powerful performance, particularly the acceleration and handling. However, some owners expressed concerns about the interior needing updates and expensive maintenance costs."
Car drove like a sports version of a S500. It was a fun car to drive on longer trips. It was very reliable and never gave me any problems. the clk500 has plenty of power and handles like a luxury sports car should. I recommend this car.
August 9, 2011This car is great. This car is how a German would build a Mustang. High quality leathers inside nice clean lines, and just enough performance to have fun with. Everyone looks at the car and says wow that is nice. However I own it not for the loos but for the fun of driving this car is made for the person that needs to get to point a to point b while having a blast doing it.
December 12, 2009One of the best looking MB IMHO, a step up from the previous version, and more elegant and cleaner than the replacement e-Class Coupe. Very comfortable to drive, nicely equiped with lots of gadgets, although no phone or iPod integration. Smallish trunk but big enough for the golf clubs with top down. Very quiet top up, very little turbulence top down. Very smooth engine.

February 18, 2010simply love it. driving convertible in bay area is such enjoyable event; soft sunshine + clean air (compared to LA, that is) the performance is decent, especially the "S" handling. oh yea, love the engine sound when accelerating; the gas consumption is high, unfortunately, $80 for 250 miles around >_< rather than that it is all cool~~
August 3, 2008This is an awesome ride. The handle and suspension are high quality and once you get into the the drivers seat, you know your driving not only a high end luxury vehicle, but a Benz. Well kept and clean on the inside and out!
July 21, 2013mercedes clk 320 2005!! greatest quality above all cars.... performance is described as more than amazing!! its brand new cost is 90000$ its a great car to drive!! mercedes benz are the greatest cars and the classiest most elegant cars ever!!
March 22, 2009Very solid. Very. Not too smart to run the wiring thru the floor board. Heavy duty mats and you'll be fine. Lifters seem to be an issue around 100k mi with this particular engine. Dunno if its due to a pump or pressure issue or lifter itselves. You turn heads in this car. Its not a C or E class. Rather a cross between the two. Mercedes doesn't make a CLK anymore. They're E class coupes now. I personally warm mine up for about 3-5 min before taking off and try to avoid short trips. She doesn't like short trips. She's a runner. Doesn't like to slow down. Loves the highway. Would def recommend and buy another one. Art in motion.
February 6, 2015A used CLK AMG Cabriolet with low miles could be the best sports car bargain out there. They are rare, but any Mercedes dealer can service them, and the driving experience will make you smile every time you get in.
July 17, 2012So after 2 C6 Corvettes I happened upon this gem of a car... Performance - feels heavy, and consumes gas like no other (ok so 20MPG isnt that bad) Build Quality - Just about perfect, no rattles or noises. You dont cringe when you hit a bump in the road Appearance - Decent, the AMG helps. Could still use a slower valence in the front, and maybe a different hood. Cost of Ownership - GET A WARRANTY GOOD GOD. Here is a small list of prices for parts: Rotors: $2500, Pads: $600, Tires: $1000 to 2000, Oil Change: $190 - these can be cut in half usually if done yourself or by another shop. Fun Factor - Handles good, doesn't feel as fast as an M3 or Corvette, If you have the cash spring for an SL.
March 23, 2010this car is built to the best craftsmenship I have ever seen. The 302 HP is enough to make any car scared of it on the road yet little realze that a car this good looking can be so quick. this is one of the best and funnest cars I have ever owned and the soft top is on the complete other end of the spectrum then my old Jeep soft top.
