This has been a very reliable vehicle. It gets me where I need to go (which is ~200 miles/day) and does so very economically. While it isn't the fastest thing out there, it has decent pick-up and go. Furthermore, it has a rear spoiler, which makes it look surprisingly sporty. I care pool with 3 fairly large gentlemen, and even going up and over the pass, we can pass most other cars! Braking and handling are very good, steering quite responsive, helping you to maintain control is nearly every situation. It is enjoyable to drive, and is quite comfortable. I currently have 142,000 miles on it, and it doesn't use any oil. About the only thing I've had to do (other than normal maintenance) is replace both drive axles and the rear shocks.May 19, 2013

This car is really fun to drive, very comfortable, roomy, safe, and all in controll driving it. It gets great MPG. I like that too. It spends almost no gasoline compare to my other car, a jeep I have. I know that Chevrolet is my favorite car make, I will never choose another. Jul 01, 2012

not the greatest, gets good gas mileage tho. the fuel filter costs 80$ and you have to get it from the dealership which is totally lame. the car is fun to drive if your at a good altitude to pick up speed.Apr 07, 2010

I was looking for a sturdy vehicle with good fuel economy. It's 4-cyc engine gets more than 30 mpg. Acceleration is about right for this engine type, but I was more interested in fuel economy on the highway.
The vehicle was at 35,000 miles when I purchased it; it is now at 170,000 miles. I have done the front brakes, once and replaced a few sensors with nusaince warnings. There have been no major repairs required so far. For the most part, it goes to the shop for a sticker or oil change.
At about 180,000 miles, a sensor on the transaxle went bad and affected the operation of the transaxle. Rather than break down the existing transmission to swap the sensor with the risk of another of the four sensors failing, the shop found a used, but fairly new, tranaxle at a cost of about $1700. The vehicle is still running well at 200,000 miles.

This car drives well and has decent "pop" for a four cylinder gas milage machine. Unlike some gas milage cars, this one has plenty of interior room for friends and family. It also comes with many "power" fetures at an affordable price.Dec 10, 2008

This truck is, and I suspect always will be, a work in progress. I just bought a 235 stright six that a guy remanufactured with a NOS head, only to decide to go with a newer V-8. My gain! I am in the process of putting this motor in. I also bought one of the trucks Old Navy got rid of - I'll be using it for some chrome and a few body panels, and then moving the rest of it as a parts vehicle.Jun 17, 2008

Good mileage, 28 plus mpg. Very good highway ride. Fit and finish are good at this time. Handling is much better with 34psi front and 36psi rear, but this does decrease the ride comfort a bit. Mar 25, 2008

I have owned my 05 Classic for about a year and a half now. It only has 45k miles on it now, started out with 13k, so i havent needed to do any repairs on it, just regular maintenance. For the price i payed, i really think its the best midsize sedan i could have got. The only two complaints i could make are that its hard to find aftermarket parts specifically for this model, and that the 2.2L 4cyl motor is slightly underpowered compared to the Malibu it is based off of that had a V6.Apr 25, 2007

Bought this car at San Rafael Chevrolet for 12000. Great city handling and big trunk space. Good for small city parking and great city gas mileage. High interior ceiling for my roommate but small back interior space for leg room.Jan 30, 2007
