2004 pontiac grand prix supercharged works fine in the morning but when it heats up outside it goes into the reduce engine power. And also all lights are on in the dash and breaks are hard not able to stop quickly.Jun 13, 2025

Nice ride. I like it because it turbos well but not too roomy for someone like me. I will surely recommend for others. It drives great and last long like the Hondas and Toyotas. I will surely buy again. Ohhh!Feb 10, 2015

Overall my car has been easy to fix. I've put a lot of my sweat, blood, and tears into my baby. She might not be the fast, prettiest, or most reliable but i love her. Snowball even locks my doors for me to make sure I'm safeMay 04, 2014

This car exceeded my expectations. To put it plainly, this vehicle is a beast! It runs extremely smooth and quiet, but don't mistake smooth and quiet for weakness... it is a very powerful vehicle. No problems passing on the freeways. There have never been smokers in the vehicle so the overall look, smell and feel of the interior has been preserved quiet nicely.
Beyond, minor wear and tear, there have been no major malfunctions with this vehicle.
Whatever the usage is, this vehicle is equipped to handle accommodate it.Mar 15, 2013

This car can really make your heart throb when you lay down the pedal. You remember the old Pontiac slogan, "We build excitement"? Well, there is plenty of excitement in the GTP series. Great for a new driver who wants to feel like he/she has something sporty.Dec 30, 2012

Loved this car at first sight! I bought this car brand new and have not had any problems with it. This car has style, space, power and everything a great quality car should have. I can only hope to find a bigger family car that I Love just as much! Jul 24, 2012

It has been a great car! I have had zero issues with it since I bought it, just regular oil changes and tires! Very comfortable and good for long trips. Has a 3.8 engine so it moves pretty good for me!Mar 14, 2012

The Pontiac Grand Prix GT had generous power from a 3.8L V-6. As a sport sedan, it was nimble and had good acceleration. The interior styling was nicely done but the back seat suffered. The dash layout centered around a large speedometer and great center console. The Monsoon sound system was fabulous with both a CD and cassette player. 2004 was before the MP3 player explosion, so it did not have an auxiliary input. The leather seats were extremely comfortable. The backseat angled down a little, making it difficult to get in and out of the rear. Also, the slope of the roof gave very little headroom for back seat passengers. A great sport sedan, but passengers over 6 feet tall would not like the back seat for very long. Trunk was spacious, so as long as you do not have 4 tall people in the car, it made for a great road trip.Jan 15, 2012

great car with minor problems, not expensive and easy to do yourself.
good for all times of the year, and a family of 1 to 5 can fit comfortably.
its a sleeper that most people don't expect the super-charged grand prix
to blow by them.Oct 18, 2011

Performance wise this car is not a superfast sports car, but it is adequate for
daily driving for the commute to work and for long trips. The Build Quality is on
par with most american cars of its time and actually has a decent look to it.
Overall the car is a great looking car, sporty looks combined with luxury set this
car in the range of the Germans. TCO of this car is pretty low, no major issues
or headaches can be said for mine. The Car can be fun to drive at any time,
during the winter with snow on the ground, spring with rain and summer with
heat, it performs well in all environments.Sep 09, 2011

This car rides beautifully, looks great is easy to maintain, easy to mod, was priced fairly is sporty and economical for a 4 door vehicle. the monsoon stereo is a great addition though i would have liked to have had the BOSE still in them. overall this car is badass!Jul 06, 2011

best car in the world. has the petal shifters on the wheel. just bad ass. never get beat on the free ways just plain fun. had to add the smaller pulley to the super charger to really get the full effect but worth itApr 10, 2011

Fast acceleration and tight suspension. it has needed no repairs since i owned it. the syling is nice. The sunroof is nice to have, although i have heard the motor wears out. It gets good gas milage for 260 horse V6. i get about 27 on the highway...low 30's if i take it easy. Its a real fun and fast car to drive, and i can haul the daughter around in it too. Sep 25, 2010

* Performance - when equipped with the Competition Group Package, you couldn't ask for more from a FWD sedan.
* Build Quality - Was trouble free to me, despite me putting it through some paces, sunroof and windshield washer pump broke however
* Appearance - Great styling, black's a good color, interior was designed to please "a drivers" senses.
* Cost of Ownership - great gas mileage for the performance, nothing but routine maintenance for it.
* Fun Factor -review picture says it all!

The 3.8 not supercharged though. Burgandy in color. Leather or vinyl interior. In dash Pioneer gps system. It moves quickly and I don't like using the brakes but they are very good as well. Overall I love this car alot. Jul 12, 2010

This is a very good first car, it was really easy to work on. Parts will probably shoot up becuase Pontiac went under but that's ok. I have tinted headlights, taillights, and windows on it. I have a K&N Cold Air Intake on it, Pulstar pulse plugs, and red neon for the undercarriage. Very good car, daily driver. Nice on gas, nice hp.Mar 31, 2010

Quick considering its considered a large sedan. Very responsive acceleration and steering. 30+ mpg when goin between 60-70mph. Strong, reliable engine. Practical! lots of room, backseat folds down. VERY comfortable to travel long distances in. Dual exhaust rumble is nice. Handles EXCELLENT in icy/snowy conditions with traction/stability control.Feb 18, 2010

best car I have ever driven will do 130 smooth the only thing i am disappointed in is that the HUD system went out and no one in this hick area knows anything about it. It holds up under pressure and takes strong turns at a high speed. Gets good gas unless I stick my foot in it.Everyone I have let drive it fell in love. Its a 04 gtp 3800 series 3 engine with turbo boostNov 03, 2009

Fun car, handles well even though it is heavy. Traction control made it almost impossible to lose control, even on snow and ice. I loved the HUD, wish more cars had them. I liked the styling of the front end, especially without the license plate, but the rear could have been better. 260 horsepower doesn't sound like alot these days, but along with 280 ft/lbs of torque it moved along pretty good. For some reason the idler pulley on the supercharger belt needed to be changed twice, but other than that it was trouble-free.Oct 04, 2009

Gas mileage is the only thing I can complain about of the Comp G. Love the padels and HUD. Overkill 4.0 PCM and K&N CAI into the car MOD wise, many more to come next summer. Also taking off the badging to turn it into more of a sleeper.Sep 27, 2009

Car is fast, with upgraded pulley on the supercharger,
and the cold air, the whistle is loud, the power is
stout. M3's fall, G35's can't hang. The problems, I have
had with it, tremendous, nothing motor related really,
just a bunch of stupid little crap that puts it in the
shop once a month.Jun 19, 2009

Good car. Good Build quality. decent mileage from such a large v6. The added modifications allow it to perform and look a lil better. Fun to drive. Gets you where you want to go very nicely. satisfied with the car.Mar 29, 2009

Performance is excellent for a 4 door car. With minor tweaks the car easily makes it into the low 14 second range in the 1/4mile. Build quality and fit and finish is excellent also no gaps or flushness issues. Jan 23, 2009

I love my 04 Grand Prix. It is an awesome car on fuel...for it's size. Performance wise, it was ok when I got it, but I had a Super Chip put in it and now I've freed up alot of power. It's awesome to drive on the highway, and has alot of 'get up and go'. It's silver, with the windows tinted as dark as I could go legally. Will soon have SLP Powerflow exhaust and 18" Boss 318 Black Chrome rims. Also hopefully put in a Kenwood 8120 deck. Nov 27, 2008

My car is awesome!! It is one of the best cars I have ever owned. Acceleration was top notch! It has lots of get-up-and-go!! It is very stylish and very sharp. The interior is very comfortable and looks great!! I like the bells and whistles that came with it. Gas mileage isn't too bad. It is completely fun to drive!!Sep 27, 2008

I only just bought this vehicle a little over a week ago but so far I cant complain. For a family car its pretty decent. Its a V6 & 3.8 L engine. Its got good pickup and seems to handle pretty good for such a big car. It also has a lot of interior space (which is good for my 6'1 boyfriend). Its about 4 years old and doesnt appear to need any repairs. Honestly what sold me on it was the red interior lighting (I know lame.. maybe its because i last owned a Focus) Its pretty hard on gas & it has a big tank.. but its a nice looking car & its kinda fun to drive so I like it!Sep 07, 2008

Goes like stink, holds the road really well. Tap shift holds engine at higher RMP's. Seats five if needed. HUGE trunk, gobs of torque, HUD is awesome on long night rides when the highway is yours. Came with a MONSOON stereo 9 speakers, 6 stacker. Still sounds great after for trying years. This car holds it own against any four door in the price range. Its tight in the rear for adults, lacking foot space and the dash could have better materials. The last run for the Grand Prix as it is being replace with the New G8 brought over from HOLDEN of Australia. Cant wait to drive the 6.0 litre GT.Aug 29, 2008

Absolutely love this car. It is very fun to drive and looks good out on the road. This car is quick off the line and handles well while turning, accelerating, etc. However, the car brakes roughly, especially at higher speeds (ie 75+ mph). Besides a few minor faults, this car is a very reliable and enjoyable car to own.Aug 25, 2008

The most powerful sedan I've driven so far. Impressive with the 4.6 engine under the hood; however, the quality is terrible. I hate the cheap plastic used on the dash!! The one I had was in sport package. The exhausted system sounds terrible. You need to repalce it if you really looking for the sound from a real sport car. Aug 20, 2008

Just listen ro that SUPERCHARGER scream past ya on the road. A gas saving car that can also put you back in your seat goin down the track or just goin down the highway.grand prixs are good sleeper cars, nobody expects a grand prix to be faster then some V8's.Jul 30, 2008

Pretty good car overall. The relay for the automatic locks went out, but that can be disabled through the menu. The sunroof switch is finnikey in the winter time.
Back seat legroom is kinda poor, but oh well.
Fun to drive, and I am happy about the choice I made.Jul 09, 2008

Wish it was a diff color--but other than that, can't complain. Handles curves like a dream--gonna get a ticket someday! Cost of ownership, who cares--when she zooms. Yeah, its a fun car to drive. Jul 08, 2008

My grand prix has been reliable, it was affordable, and with todays gas prices for a full size car it gets great gas milage. The interior is beautiful, since it is the GT2 it is fully loaded with leather, sun roof and the monsoon sounds system. I couldnt ask for anything more in a car.Jul 07, 2008

Overall a great vehicle. Great performance for the price, stylish interior with leather and heated seats, steering wheel controls with all the buttons ergonomically placed within easy reach. Rear seat back folds down flat and opens into the already roomy trunk, making it very easy to fit large items.May 16, 2008

One of the best large sedans I have ever driven. I would compare the handling to a BMW 3 series or maybe even a 5 series; however, the large mass of the car is shown when cornering hard, but it still takes the turns well for being so large. Plenty of low end torque, but lacking in top end horsepower.Mar 20, 2008
