I like this car because it saves me alot of gas, and its very easy to drive it because its not a big car. Its a great car for a small family or for some one that goes to school/college. It will get you where ever you need to be safely nd at a very low cost. The car looks brand new from inside, has a very nice stereo with bluetooth. It runs great at any speed.Jan 17, 2015

Nice car, 3door is sporty looking car. single exhaust. 1.4 litre petrol its very light.
Has great power and handles like a dream with its electric steering. 15inch tyres.
could be bigger. Big boot perfect for shopping or days out. Fast car and gives no

this civic is not a performance car .. have a good clutch start but the single overhead cam engine deliver a wors power rpm .. the suspension to smooth ,, the brake are good .. gaz millage is perfect , one of the best in this class .. so i thing a civic 2003 coupe whit the 1,7 (b17b) engine is a greate all around car . not a lot of power but is enought to have fun .. but is a great road travel car and perfect for a small famyllie ..
the body look good , the inside too .. but like all honda car the body metal is not very tought my honda have a couple spot of rust on hood , all honda have this problem .. but nice carAug 30, 2010

With 190K miles on the odo I put down $2.7K & ~$1.5K more to fix it. Iit gets me back and forth to work without making me feel improper (like the previous transport).
Performance: When your frame of reference is other high mileage econo cars, the performance is better. Handling is far better, acceleration is somewhat better.
Build Quality: At 190K miles, I'd say the build quality is excellent.
Appearance: Snail iMAGED
Cost of Ownership: Excellent, part of the reason I purchased. The first 1K miles netted me 27mpg with the o2 sensor still needing replacement.
Fun Factor: 5 speed close ratio is definitely fun. But it desperately needs a 6th gear, which was addressed in 2006.Mar 17, 2010

The car is reliable, hasn't needed more than minor maintenance. It accelerates well, gets great gas mileage, is fun to drive. It could be a bit better on ice and in snow. As they say, it's a great little car.Dec 27, 2009

It was a brand new Honda Civic Type - R (EP3) facelift.
This Car was very good priced an the best Hatchback out there.
It has a great Engine and Gearbox. Coilovers where great too. Loved the car with the Skunk2 Exhaust in V-Tec ;)Dec 13, 2009

PERFORMANCE - Acceleration ok, Braking good, Handling good.
BUILD QUALITY - No major repairs needed, besides a couple defects squeeky clutch pedal, and robbed for JDM spec motor lol.
APPEARANCE - Great appearance love the egg shape, interior is nice too. Race bucket seats, and dash mounted shifter are a good head turning combo.
FUN FACTOR - Not a fast car from factory, but deff a fun drive always prior to mods and after mods.Aug 20, 2009

Performance- Quick acceleration, smooth shifting, great brakes, tight handling
Appearance- I made some small mods to its appearance (Front Grill, Rims) The grill cost $30 and totally changed the look of the car, Love it!
Cost- Very good on gas, owned it for about a year now with no trips to the shop yet

For a 4 cylinder car in it's price range, it has very good acceleration. It is inconvenient when it is rainy outside because the car is front wheel drive and will pull to the side when shifting into 1st gear or from 1st to 2nd. Braking is good, but antilock brakes are annoying. It handles well for it's class. The car is very solid and needs little maintenance on the body. I had to fix a few squeeks in the suspension myself, but it was nothing major. It has a little too much road noise though. Appearance is good and it is convenient that there are alot of aftermarket body parts. The interior is easy to maintain and easy to take apart. It gets about 30+ mpg and is very cheap to maintain. Sparkplugs and oil need to be changed on a regular basis and possibly the transmission fluid, but besides that the car seems to take care of itself. Great economical and sporty car. Only 500 built in Canada which makes it a rare car.The looks of the car is one of my favorite things about it, especially the interior. The dash is all black with carbon fiber around the air vents and center controls, the shifter is on the dash. The fronts seats are sporty and covered with a black suede material. Lots of leg and head room for passengers in the back seat and lots of storage space in the hatch with a 70/30 split folding seats. Not a very good winter car. I got stuck a few times in the deeper snow, but if you get a good set of winter tires you'll be fine.Sep 29, 2008

I love my car! It's pretty quick, although it could be faster. It gets great gas mileage, I average 32 mpg. I haven't had to do anything to it in the year I've had it and I've put on about 50k miles. It's really fun to drive and handles really well.Sep 11, 2008

It's not screamingly fast, but it has a lot of pop and a lot of personality. It has a tendency to be a little sloppy in transition but it'll corner on 3 wheels and it's a far better handler than the tires I currently have installed. Why didn't Honda send us the Type R again? Power is pretty good, ~160 BHP, but it could use more factory power. Custom exhaust frees up the engine a little and sounds good and deep at the top end without being annoying. It fits a ton of gear in the hatch. Gas mileage is hovers between 31-32 MPG no matter how I drive.Aug 25, 2008

With gas being 3.89 a gallon right now i think everyone should have a Honda Civic. I drove it to Florida and minimum was 38 mpg up to about 41. The only problem I have had out of it is the thermostat being all jacked up but other than that its been perfect!!Aug 11, 2008

Love my little car...it's used so has some dings and
scratches but being a 5 spd makes up for it! So much
fun to drive!!! I have been averaging between 34 and
36 mpg so that is great and it is only about $40 to $45
to fill up. Having a 2 year old still in the car seat
makes it rough to get him in and out but I'll take that

this is quite a well built car and im not even a honda person but this car has impressive specs to it for a 1.6 L Engine (the one my father owns anyways ITS NO SI people! :P) 115 HP great handling and amazing gas mileage i would say for a road trip its quite a reliable car for things as such Apr 05, 2008

If you want good pick up in a honda civic, get a stick shift, since it's just a 4 cylinder, great on gas mileage...can last forever on a full tank, great pick-up with stick shift, power everything, must have a sun roof, adds to the sports car feel. Love this car...plan on keeping it for a long time, would like to upgrade to new honda civic ex coupe...must have an automatic transimission.Mar 07, 2008
