The truck is immaculate. Runs like a sewing machine. Nicely detailed inside and out. Fully loaded with electric everything. A/C is nice and cold. So far Ive driven it 100 miles and I love it. Ive always had great experiences with Dodge vehicles. Would recommend them to anyone.May 22, 2021

The only problem I frequently see with vehicle is rust problems, the V8 Magnum is a good engine and the truck itself is small, but sturdy. Mar 09, 2020

This is a gas eater with the 4.7L but has plenty of towing for such a small truck. Has that beefier look but in a smaller profile too. Box can be hard to haul full sized sheets of construction materials though. Still wouldn't trade it off. Love the little thing.Jul 21, 2013

Love this Truck, it's a lot of fun. So far the only thing I don't like is how you change the oil. It's a really dumb place to be and hard to change. Luv driving it. It was in pretty good condition for being as old as it is. It does suck gas and it has an exhaust system on it and a K & N filter on it so it gets better gas mileage. It sounds awesome when you rev it. Go MOPARS!Jun 30, 2010

THis is a great truck and I love driviing it. It has a lot
of get up and go, about 40 dollars a week to fill the
tank. Its really fun to drive and I love having this
instead of a big gas hog and having a bigger truck
than a little truck.Feb 18, 2010

Performace is really good.
Build Quality- does not make a noise.
Appearance- Not a speck of rust.
Cost of ownership- Nor too bad only if the paymentes were lower but other wise its all good.

Not the fastest truck on the block, but will run over most of the other ones. Rugged, loud, and pretty much just overall bad ass in every way. Gas mileage isn't great, but if I wanted good gas mileage, I would have bought a little Honda or something.Oct 10, 2009

The usual sloppy North American electrical work, not very good milage and poor brakes. It does get around the back country with high clearance and can haul a tonne of gear.
Comfortable for long drives.
Oil Filler & PC Valve System doe not work well @ -40 C in Saskatoon!Feb 22, 2009

it has amazing acceleration and a powerfull motor and it is not bad at anything. It is a ton of fun to drive without the bed cap. It is also not that expensive. The gas mileage is really pretty good. with accelerating into big numbers. In the summer it is a blast.Nov 17, 2008

beautifull clean interior
3.9 litre v8 2wd
off road tires and aluminum rims
bedliner
drives awesome, for a small v8 it has a lot of kick to it.
I can usually get 365 kilometers on a 65 litre tank of gas
the best vehicle i have ever driven before
an overall great truck

Performance -- Little Sluggish, Have manual trans and i need to break down and put in a new clutch. All torque.
Build Quality -- Built right, easy to maintain, havent really had a problem with it, and that's with 130,000 miles on it.
Does have crappy milage on it, i was getting 12.5 mpg on it, but i just recently checked the tires and was alarmed that they were 10 pounds under pressure! I'm the 2nd owner of the beastie and so far i am very happy with it. This sucker will haul anything, and that's with a V6! 4x4 also works well.Aug 24, 2008

I like the fact that it has a manual trans. And the bulletproof drivetrain!! It is awesome in the bush. it has a very good ride on the highway and in the city. reasonable gas mileage. It is red in colour and has big mud tires on it.It also has dragon seat covers and steringwheel cover.Aug 16, 2008

Ive had this truck for two years and never had any problems. It runs great, all I do is change the oil. It needs a wash, but thats ok. It's definatly built to last. I put it through hell and it comes out smellin like roses(not really, but you know what I mean.) Aug 04, 2008

Performance- Accelereation is amazing, and once you kill the governor, your speed seems almost limitless. You will crap your pants before you top out.
Build- The only problem with this vehicle is that the A/C leaks but its and easy fix. It is only a drain blockage.
Appearance- Interior is rather nice, and the exterior, I love this model a lot more than the new model that just came out.
Cost- Gas mileage can be decent as long as you dont mat it. If i go easy on it, on the high way I get 23 to 25 MPG
FunFactor- I LOVE driving this truck.Jul 31, 2008

With 5 motor options, 3 cab options, 3 transmissions, 2 drive types,
and 6 trim packages it's one of the most configurable vehicles built. Willing power plants, automatic transmissions that are rarely caught
off guard and well-sorted suspensions make these trucks easy to live
with, no matter what they're asked to do. On-road, the supple
suspension swallows up bumps, yet doesn't have the truck wallowing
through the turns. And off-road, the Dakota easily handles
everything, even severely rutted and rock-strewn trails. All things
considered, the Dakota offers the best combination of ride comfort
and capability in the compact truck class.Jul 07, 2008

This was the best truck I have owned. While my brother's trucks were being taken to the shop I kept right on driving. Never had problems never had complaints. If not for the strip of black ice that led to it's eventual demise I would still be happily driving this truck today.Jan 07, 2008

The Magnum V* runs great. It takes restraint not to stomp on it. I like that you can fit 5 into the truck comfortably. We found a vintage Aristocrat camper and the Dakota pulls it without any problem. It has been a great all around family vehicle.May 30, 2007
