With 450hp from a bi-turbo V8 back in 2003, this thing was the fastest stock sedan in Colorado. Blue with white interior from Audi exclusive set this apart even further. With regular and scheduled maintenance, it was a reliable Ferrari killer with all four passengers enjoying heated seats as they watched a red Italian disappear behind them. It was also a SUV killer in the snow. Passing every make and model on the way up to the mountains without getting stuck in the snow, not even once. Even with the Snowpocolypse in 2008, Denver, CO. It was one of very few vehicles on the road. Surely the only sedan and surely the only sports car at that. Generously pulling everything out of the snowbanks all the way up to a semi-truck! It was one of the most capable vehicles I had ever owned. Eating Ferraris and Porsches for summer. Jeeps and Fords and Chevys for dinner in the winter with Mack trucks for dessert. Jan 09, 2023

One of the best handling cars I have ever owned love the Dynamic ride control, great power. Only thing for a 2003 RS model it should have had a manual transmission option. Truly a beast in 2003!!! Only negative is costly repairs if needed.Mar 15, 2022

Great car, very rare of that year and very fast! only about 850 was sent to the US. Engine endurance is great, tho its a super sport sedan, it can be use for everyday driving. May 16, 2020

Amazingly tractable at low speeds and breathtakingly capable at higher speeds and it gets there quickly. Fortunately the standard Brembo cross-drilled brakes are there to bring you right back down. Quattro AWD will keep you out of the ditch unless you get too careless. Very nicely furnished inside and out; trunk is a little tight as they moved the battery back there to even out the weight distribution. Still not equaled (even by the later S6 and S8) after 9 years!Mar 08, 2012

Just drove home last week from Chicago with my mint condition RS6 34k daytona grey/ black w carbon fiber interior, fully loaded including summer package. Best 800 miles Ive ever spent in a car (not like my 2004 A6 4.2 isnt incredible) but the RS6 is RS-SICK! Everybody looks at the RS even if they dont know what it is, with its wide body with awesome exhaust sound. Looking forward to getting the A.W.E. chip mod to go from 450/415 to 520/532! I dont have a single complaint from inside to out, appearance and performance. Knew exactly what I was getting into... Although I havent brought to get Audi service yet... THE ACCELERATION IS OUTSTANDING FACE RIPPING NICKER ELASTIC SNAPPING AT 100 PACES STOPS ON A PENNY AND TURNS ON A DIME BIT OF OVERSTEER PROGRESSING TO UNDER STEER MID CORNER BUT BOY WHAT A PLEASURE WHEN YOU GET IT CORRECT. OUTER QUALITY IS TOUGH DURABLE BUILT FOR PURPOSE INTERIOR VERY EXCEPTIONALLY WELL MADE NICE MATERIALS WILL LAST LIFE OF CAR AND POSSIBLY LONGER.
MINES SILVER SO ALMOXT BULLIT FEATURES AND BLACK LEATHER SEATS WITH RED STICHING AND PIPING LOVELY.
COSTS IT HAD TO HAVE THE AIRCON UNIT REPLACED UNDER WARRENTY BUT NO BIG PROBLEM FUEL COSTS CAN BE HIGH AS IT GOES LIKE AND HANDLES LIKE STINK IT GRIPS LIKE PREVEBRIAL TO A BLANKET. TYRES I GET MICHELINS FOR 120 A CORNER TRIED OTHERS BUT THERE THE BEST. FUN IS IN BUCKET LOADS FILL TO BRIM WITH KIDZ DOGS WIFE AND YOUR OFF FOR A FUN DAY TAKE THE KIDZ TO SCHOOL SAFE AND TEAR ARSE HOME BRILL. The ultimate race car for public roads. Discrete but still very potent. 4,2 ltr V8 with 450 hp. Less then 5 sec from zero to 100km/h, and the best, the consumption is quite low, only 0,85 pr.mile and the rest is pure hobby. Car was at first amazing, but after having driven and owned a new Audi S4 with V8 it deedn't seemed to me as amazing as it was the first time I tired it. Automatic/Sequential gearbox is to slow, which really removes a lot of fun.Jun 21, 2008

it was a car that i looked forward to driving at any opportunity. the suspension was really hard and you'd feel every bump in it. but it was worth it.
maybe it's because i'm still learning to get more out my rs4's manual gearbox
(in other words i'm a bit timid with it not that good a driver), but if i'm honest i may have i think prefered the RS6. Jan 05, 2008

The big advantage is 450hp (mine is now over 500hp due to mods)that provides a luxury ride that your spouse and your high end clients will love. Very comfortable with the get up and go. If you are looking for pure go fast, not the best car as it is heavy due to the luxuries. But if you want a perfect blend of high performance and luxury.. then it's a great car. At the time of this writing the gadgetry of the car is out-dated (I had to put in aftermarket navigation, etc).
It suits me perfectly. I took off the badges as the car is for me, not passers by to oogle over. So, for car is stealthy - my secret weapon. Every once in a while an enthusiast or a youngin that reads all the mags points at my car excitedly while mouthing "RS6, RS6?". I simply nod my head.. and daydream about that Vermont road with nobody on it.. Mar 22, 2007

I had the pleasure of test driving this top motor from work.
its the car you can drop granny off at the doctors then drop the kids off at school then let it rip the kid say go faster dad its great, the missis just holds on in a word its bloddy great ive ridden stelth at thorpe park the two are alike I prefer the RS6Jan 16, 2007
